Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBoSE), Dharamshala conducts the HPTET or Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test to recruit teachers on the primary and upper primary levels.

HP TET 2021 result has been declared for the exam conducted on November 13, 14, 21 and 28, 2021. A total of 6,584 candidates have cleared the exam out of 38,704 candidates who have appeared in the exam.

Class I to V is considered as a primary level and VI to VIII is considered as upper primary level. Due to the current pandemic – a situation no specific dates for the examinations have been declared yet. But, the form fill-up process for the HPTET is expected to begin from August 2022 (tentative).

Candidates who have a BA/B.Com/ B.Sc. degree with at least 50% of marks and 1-year B.Ed. are eligible for HPTET 2022. Though, there are some other criteria that one must fulfil to be eligible to appear in the HPTET 2022. The examination commences once a year.

For two different categories, i.e primary and upper primary levels, separate examinations will take place. There will be 150 objective type questions in the paper, and 2 hours and 30 minutes will be given to complete the paper. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

What is HPTET?:-

The full form of HPTET is Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. The HPTET conducted by HPBoSE is a state-level exam to determine the eligibility of candidates as the teacher in primary and upper primary levels

The candidates that pass the examination, are considered for posts like, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Arts/ Trained Graduate Teacher in Medical/ Trained Graduate Teacher in Non-Medical/ Language Teacher/ Punjabi Language Teacher/ Urdu Language Teacher/ Shastri Teacher/ and JBT.

The notification for HP TET 2022 will be released soon. Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test 2022 is generally known as HP TET. The Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) is a state-level test that is held to hire primary and upper elementary school teachers. The exam is primarily used to determine candidates’ eligibility for teaching positions at Haryana’s various government institutions.

The Himachal Pradesh State Board of Secondary Education (HPBSE) administers the HPTET once a year. HP TET 2022 may be divided into two portions for two distinct types of candidates: those applying for teaching positions in grades one through five, and those applying for teaching positions for classes six to eight..

HPTET Vacancy:-

The HPTET vacancies for the year 2022 has not been announced yet. Generally, according to the authorities, HP Teacher’s Eligibility Test (HPTET) fill up various Teacher’s posts like JBT, TGT (Arts), TGT (Medical), TGT (Non-Medical), Language Teacher, Urdu, Shastri and Punjabi Subjects.

HPTET Eligibility Criteria:-

It is important to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the HPTET Examination. For different posts filled by the HPTET examination, the eligibility criteria may vary. Here, we have provided complete details about the HPTET Eligibility Criteria.

The Candidates must have the mentioned educational qualifications and must fulfil the age criteria to apply for the HPTET Examination. Some common eligibility criteria to apply for HPTET:

• At the time of applying for HPTET, candidates’ age must be at least 18 years.
• The candidates must be a citizen of India.
• It will be convenient for the students who have a domicile certificate from Himachal Pradesh.
• The students who are in their final year in the respected programs are also eligible to apply for HPTET.

Note- There will be a relaxation of up to 5% of marks in the last qualifying examination and the HPTET qualifying marks, for candidates belonging to OBC/ SC/ ST categories.

HPTET Application Form 2022:-

The candidates will be able to fill the application form for the HPTET examination 2022 in online mode only. The starting of filling up application forms is expected to begin from August 2022.

After a certain date is fixed by the authority, candidates will be able to register for HPTET by paying a late fee of ₹300. After the last date of registration with the late fee is over, no applications will be accepted by the authority.

The steps to apply for the HPTET exam are provided below:-

Step 1: Candidates will have to visit the official website for HPTET and click on the ‘New Candidate Registration.

Step 2: Then the candidates will be asked to fill some general informations like, Name of the Candidate/ Date of Birth/ Caste/ Sex/ Nationality/ Post appearing for/ Email Id/ Contact Number/ Address etc. The candidates will be asked to give Examination Center Preference too.

Step 3: After giving the general information, the candidates would have to upload scanned images of their recent photograph and signature.

Step 4: A new window for application fee payment will open. The candidates would be able to pay the requested fee through Net Banking or Debit Card or Credit Card.

Step 5: After paying the application fee, the candidates will be asked to accept all the declarations and submit the form.

Step 6: The filled application form and a confirmation page will be generated after submitting the form. Candidates will be able to download their filled application form and confirmation page. For future reference, the candidates should obtain a printout of the filled application form and confirmation page.

HPTET Application Fees 2022:-

HPTET Admit Card 2022:-

HPTET Admit Card will be released on the official website before HPTET Examination. The Candidates who had applied for HPTET Exam will be able to download the admit card from the official website soon using their Application Number and Date of Birth as login credentials.

Step 1: Visit the official website for HPTET.

Step 2: Under the Important Announcements, look for the HPTET Exam Admit Card link and click on it.

Step 3: Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth as login credentials.

Step 4: Your HPTET 2022 Admit Card will appear on your screen. Download it for future purposes.

Note- If for some reason, any candidate is not able to download his/her admit card; the applicant must at the earliest, contact the HPBoSE main office and show them the confirmation page downloaded after the submission of the application form.

HPTET Exam Centers 2022:-

HPBoSE had allocated 71 centers for HPTET Examination in 2022. Candidates are given the opportunity to give preference to examination centers while filling up the application form.

HPTET 2022 Exam Pattern 2022:-

HPTET Exam 2022 will be conducted in offline mode. 150 objective type questions will be there in the paper. For each correct answer, the candidates will be awarded a +1 mark and there won’t be any negative marking for wrong answers.

The duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. For all the subjects the exam pattern of HPTET will remain the same but the syllabus will vary.

HPTET Results 2022:-

The HPBoSE declares the results of the HPTET Exam soon on its website after the conduction of the examination. Candidates will be able to see their results on the official website for HPTET after the declaration of results by logging in with their application number and date of birth.

HPTET 2022 Cutoff Marks:-

The HPBoSE has set a minimum score for candidates belonging to different categories in order to qualify for the HPTET. For candidates belonging to the Unreserved Category 60% in the HPTET Examination is the minimum score to qualify. For candidates belonging to OBC/ SC/ ST categories, 50% in the HPTET Examination is the minimum score to qualify.

HPTET Selection Process:-

All the successful candidates will be shortlisted to appear in the document verification for the recruitment process. This process is managed by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School education to further the selection process of teachers.
