Rabindra Bharati University Recruitment – Full Time Contractual Assistant Professor Vacancy

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of 04 (Four) Full-Time Contractual Assistant Professor in V.I. for the Department of Disability Studies purely on temporary basis. Prescribed Application Forms are to be downloaded from our website www.rbu.ac.in (under ‘RECRUITMENT’ link) between 16/10/2020 and 06/11/2020 and the filled-in Form is to be sent to the the above mentioned address by SPEEDPOST only along with a payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC/ST candidates) through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY” payable at KOLKATA latest by 09/11/2020. The applicants are requested to send the duly filled-in application form along with requisite testimonials, Demand Draft, certificates and 6(six) copies of application form [i.e. Application form + six photo copies of application form and one copy each of all mark sheets, certificates, age proof and other testimonials (1 set)] by speed post only

Qualifications for the said posts are given below:

 A) Essential Qualification:-

  1. Masters Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks (as per the RCI norms and UGC Regulations, Gazette dt. September 18, 2010 section 1.1.1)
  2. M.Ed. Degree in specific disability area (VI) with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B+ in ‘10 point scale’ of UGC. Or An equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI. 3. Valid Registration with RCI, u/s 19 of RCI Act, 1992 is essential.

B) Desirable Qualification:

  1. M.Phil/Ph.D in Special Education or Education with research emphasis on Special Education.
  2. Experience for a period of at least 2 years as teacher or researcher in the area of specific Disability.

Specialization : In V.I. as per RCI norms.

 Pay :-  Rs. 40,000/- (consolidated) for the post.

 Age :-  Not more than 55 years as on 01/01/2020. However, relaxation in upper age limit may be considered in case of exceptionally qualified candidates.

 Fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview. The University reserves the right to decide the number of candidates to be called for interview for a particular post. Incomplete applications are liable to be cancelled. Application received after the last date due to any reasons including postal delay shall not be entertained.

Candidates must clearly write his/her mobile number and e-mail ID in the Application Form. They are also to retain a set of scanned copies of all the documents, including publications, if any, being submitted by them, including filled-in application form. These scanned documents may have to be forwarded to the undersigned electronically before the interview, if called for. It may be noted that the interview may be conducted in virtual mode, if the University so decides.

Candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel. Candidates who have already applied for the said post in response to our earlier Notification Nos. Estt./6178/2018 dated 09/03/2018 and Estt./ 6597/2019 dated 08/01/2019 need not apply again. However, such candidates may forward documents in support of add-on qualifications, if acquired in the meantime, along with a covering letter clearly mentioning the Notification Number vide which they originally applied for the post. Candidates are also to note that total vacancies for the post are four including those previously advertised, as mentioned above.
