Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET), conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam is a state-level assistant professors recruitment examination in Andhra Pradesh. The official notification for APSET 2022 is expected to be released in July 2022.

Aspirants having a Master degree or equivalent in any subject or stream can apply for APSET 2022. Admit cards will be released by the conducting body for those who will be applying for APSET 2022.

APSET written test is an offline exam and consists of 300 marks with a duration of 3 hours and two papers. Paper-I is of 100 marks and Paper -II is of 200 marks. APSET has no negative marking scheme. According to the official website of APSET, the syllabus has 30 different disciplines.

What is APSET 2022?:-

The APSET (Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test) is a state eligibility test exam following the pattern of the National Eligibility Test (CSIR/UGC-NET) arranged by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam.

Andhra Pradesh, having the UGC accreditation used to conduct their own state-level exam SLET to recruit assistant professors in the colleges/universities of Andhra Pradesh.

After this, the Andhra Pradesh government has started conducting APSET in Telugu medium to recruit professors in the colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh under UGC accreditation.

The main focus of the APSET exam is giving a fair chance to all who wants to pursue teaching as a professor.

APSET 2022 Notification:-

APSET 2022 official notification will be issued in July 2022. The application will be starting from August 2022 and will be continued till October 2022. The exact dates will be announced soon on the official website of APSET. All the details regarding the exam pattern, syllabus and selection process will be released soon after the official notification.

Candidates can apply with late fees of INR 1000, INR 2,000 and INR 5,000 along with the registration fee till November 2022. In case of the INR 5000 late fee, Visakhapatnam is the only exam centre available.

APSET 2022 Eligibility Criteria:-

Only citizens of India can apply for the APSET examination. Willing candidates need to have these educational qualifications and must fulfil the age criteria to apply for the APSET Examination.

APSET Eligibility: Age Limit:-

No upper age limit applied to apply for the assistant professor post through APSET 2022. Candidates of any age having all required educational qualifications can apply for the APSET examination.

APSET Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

  • Applicants need to score 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master degree from a UGC approved university or college.
  • SC/ST/PwD/OBC(non-creamy layer) applicants can apply for APSET with 50% marks in a Master degree from a UGC approved institute.
  • Aspirants who are approaching the final year of their Master degree are also eligible to apply. But they will be having a provisional admission and have to submit the result of their Master degree at the time of admission.
  • Candidates having PhD and completion of master degree examination by September 19, 1991(irrespective of result out date) will be getting 5% relaxation on aggregate marks to appear in the APSET exam.
  • According to APSET official website, candidates should apply for their post-graduate subject. If the post-graduate subject is not on the list, they can apply for any related subject.

Aspirants can apply for the APSET Exam through online mode. The APSET application process is online. The candidates need to fill up the application forms on the official website of APSET.

How to Fill the APSET Application Form 2022?:-

The steps to apply for APSET 2022 exam are given below:

Step 1: Visit the official APSET website and click the registration link for APSET 2022 examination.

Step 2: Input all the needed details carefully – Name of the Applicant, Father’s and Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category (General/ BC/ SC/ ST/PwD), Email ID and Phone number(Valid), Password.

Step 3: Verify all the data once again and submit the application form.

Step 4: An email and message will be sent to the given email id and phone number by the authority mentioning the candidates’ login ID and Password.

Step 5: Once the registration is done, candidates have to log in using the Email ID and password given.

Step 6: The candidates need to fill in all the educational information mentioned in the application form along with state and Adhar numbers.

Step 7: Upload the scanned copies of photograph, signature and category or PwD certificate as per need.

Step 8: Check the form again and submit it.

Step 9: Lastly, the candidates need to make the payment through online mode for successful submission of the application form.

Step 10: Take a printout of the application form for future references.
