All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur, an Autonomous Institute of National Importance, is one of the new AIIMS and apex healthcare institute being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalance in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate, postgraduate and higher medical education and training.

Qualification and experience: – Post: Professor cum Principal, College of Nursing
i. Master’s Degree in Nursing with advanced specialization in Nursing from a recognized Institution/ University
ii. Must be registered Nurse and Midwife.
iii 10 years experience in Nursing field after registration as Nurse, out of which seven years must have been spent in nursing education or administration after obtaining the prescribed post graduate qualification.
Qualification and experience: Post: Associate Professor (Reader) in Nursing
i. Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/ University
ii. Registered Nurse and Midwife
iii. Eight years experience after M. Sc (Nursing) including 05(five) years teaching experience in Nursing.
a) Desirable: Ph.D. in Nursing
Qualification and experience: Post: Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Nursing
i. Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University.
ii. Registered Nurse and Midwife
iii. Five years experience with a minimum of two years teaching experience in Nursing.
Qualification and experience: Post: Tutor/Clinical Instructor
i. B.Sc. Nursing/Degree from a recognized Institute/University
ii. Registered Nurse/ Midwife with sister Tutors Diploma.
iii. Three years’ teaching experience in Nursing.

1. The applicants applying should check their eligibility for the post applied for. They must be fulfilling eligibility criteria as on the closing date of receipt of applications failing which their application will be rejected.
2. In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/she is required to fill the form separately for each post.
3. The candidates have to send signed copy of Offline application form along with self-attested copies of certificates/documents in support of fulfilling the essential criteria as per. The Experience Certificate should clearly show the period of experience, duration of experience (“from” to “to”), Nature of experience (either teaching or research) etc. Candidates can only mention those teaching experiences which are recognized.

Other information for the candidates:-
i. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Gorakhpur is an autonomous body established under the Act of Parliament.
ii. Service under the Institute is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.
iii. The Institute strives to have a workforce which reflects gender parity and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
iv. All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at AIIMS Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
v. Probation period: The period of probation is two (2) years.
vi. The applicants, who do not have requisite qualification up to the last date for submission of application, will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.
vii. Incomplete application(s) will be summarily rejected. Applications received after the last date of submission of application will not be considered.
viii. The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification.
ix. The employees of the Institute will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division). Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003. However, pay protection and continuation of past services of the existing Govt. employees selected to the post of Nursing Faculty will be considered strictly as per applicable instructions.
x. Last Date of submission of application: 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News/Rojgar Samachar.
xi. The candidates are likely to be posted at rural health and urban health centre or other centres attached with the Institute for the period to be decided by the Institute as applicable.
xii. AIIMS reserves the rights to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.
xiii. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the Nursing Faculty appointed at the Institute subjected to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary H.R.A. as admissible to Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Gorakhpur, UP will be provided.
xiv. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
xv. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
xvi. In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and any action taken as deemed fit by the Appointing Authority.
xvii. The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
xviii. The decision of the Competent Authority regarding interview, verification of documents and selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
xix. All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Court of Law at Gorakhpur (U.P.).

Selection Procedure:-
1. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate to be called for interview or for selection. Based on bio-data, the Screening Committee may short- list candidates for interview. If large numbers of eligible candidates apply for any post, then the Competent Authority may hold a screening test to short-list candidates for interview.
2. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their application at the time of interview. They may also be asked to submit an affidavit/declaration as decided by AIIMS, Gorakhpur at time of Interview. The methodology of Selection will be decided by the Selection Committee as deemed fit besides any other matter related to the selection process.
