Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from eligible serving officers or persons who have retired from Central/State Government/ Autonomous Institutions/Universities/Research Institutions etc. for filling the following post on Deputation/Short-term contract/Contract(for retired persons) basis at JIPMER (Karaikal campus).

4. Essential qualification and experience a. A postgraduate qualification in (MD/MS/DNB) in a medical/surgical speciality. Teaching and/or research experience of at least 20 years after postgraduate qualification. Administrative experience in the field of clinical care, medical education, medical research, or public health in an educational institution belonging to Central / State Government or an autonomous institution with at least 2 years’ experience as one of the following:Head of an institution, Medical Superintendent/Dean/Sub-Dean, Head of the Department or Unit, or another similar experience
5. Tenure: The appointment on deputation/short-term contract/contract basis will be initially for 3 years or up to attaining the age of 70 years or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
6. Probation: One year
7. Pay and allowances: a. Level 14 (₹144200-218200) in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC b. Residential accommodation as per availability on payment of standard rent under FR45 or 10% of salary, whichever is less. c. Other allowances as admissible.

1. A certificate to the effect that the current employer in the post has “No Objection” to appointment of the person in the post being applied for.
2. Photocopies of APARs for the past five (5) years duly attested on each page by an Officer not below the level of Under Secretary or equivalent.
3. A certificate of integrity of the applicant.
4. Vigilance Clearance certificate in respect of applicant duly signed by an officer of the appropriate status.
5. Certificate indicating that no major or minor penalty has been imposed on the officer during the last 10 years/service period whichever is less.
Other Conditions:
1. The terms and conditions of service of the officer recruited on deputation/short-term contract will be governed by the orders/amendment orders issued by Department of Personnel & Training, as amended from time to time and as per JIPMER rules and regulations.
2. The terms and conditions of service for retired persons engaged on contract basis will be governed by the rules and regulations in force and will be as amended from time to time by the Government of India and as per JIPMER rules and regulations.

However, in case the application along with the requisite documents is not received within 3 weeks after the last date for applications, it will be presumed that the parent organization is not in favour of appointment of the applicant on deputation/short-term contract.
