National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Kolkata is one of the four key Institutions set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi to pioneer the development of Technical Education System in India.
This Institute is unique in the sense that it is the first such Institute established in South Asia for pre service and in-service training of staff of technical institutes. The major objective of the Institute is to take up various activities, including training, to serve as a catalyst for overall improvement of the quality of technical education.

Essential Experience:
Professor:
Minimum of 10 years teaching with high quality research / industrial experience of which at least 5 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.
Associate Professor: Minimum of 5 years teaching out of which 3 years with AGP of Rs.8,000/- with high quality research / industrial experience and having at least 2 years post Ph D experience.
Assistant Professor: For those with three or more years of teaching/research/industrial experience, higher AGP can be offered.
