KAU announced job notification for the post of Assistant Professor has been released officially. Any Masters Degree, M.Phil/Ph.D pass Can apply for this job openings. Applications in the prescribed format are invited exclusively from qualified Differently Abled candidates (Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment and Low Vision) for filling up of backlog vacancies of Assistant Professors in the following departments/ disciplines under the Faculty of Agriculture in the constituent colleges, KVKs, AICRPs, RARSs and satellite stations under the Kerala Agricultural University upon the approval of the Executive Committee of the Kerala Agricultural University

3. Qualification: Essential
a) Bachelor’s Degree from the concerned Faculty recognized by the Kerala Agricultural University.
b) Masters degree in the relevant subject recognized by the Kerala Agricultural University with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale where grading system is followed. Only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark is permissible.
c) NET conducted by ICAR/UGC/CSIR/AICTE or similar test accredited by the UGC or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:
d) Provided, the candidate registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:-
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conferences/ seminars sponsored/ funded/ supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
4. The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Director/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. OR
5. The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following:
(i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
(ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or
(iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
Desirable:-
a) Knowledge in Malayalam language to read and write.
b) Ph.D. in the relevant subject recognized by the Kerala Agricultural University.
7. Salary & Allowances: The scale of pay and allowances of Assistant Professor will be as per the Government orders issued in line with UGC norms.

i The application should be in the format provided in KAU Website and should be down loaded in A4 size paper. All columns in the form should be filled in properly and legibly. If any column is irrelevant, the same should be filled up by the entry N.A that is Not Applicable and should not be left blank or filled up by dots or hyphen or any other mark.
ii If there is a difference in the name of the candidate given in the application and that given in the documents, an identity certificate from a Gazetted Officer showing that the name given in the application and in the documents are of the same person, should be attached with the application.
iii The envelope containing the application should be super scribed with the notification number, name of post and discipline applied for.
iv Candidates who are employed on regular basis in Government/Quasi Government/State Autonomous Institution should send their applications through proper channel with No Objection Certificate.
v Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms prescribed thereto. The University reserves the right to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she applied. If appointed, such a candidate is liable to be summarily removed from the service.
vi Qualifications prescribed including experience for a post shall be one acquired by the candidate on or before the last date of submission of application i.e 31/07/2021.
vii There will be a Bonded obligation to serve for a minimum period of 3 years in the first posted station/unit.
viii No interim enquiry regarding selection will be entertained.
ix Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate
x Any dispute regarding the recruitment will fall under the jurisdiction of Kerala High Court.
xi The University further reserves the right to amend the number of posts or not to fill any of the posts mentioned in the advertisement at its discretion without assigning any reason thereof.
xii The last date and time fixed for receipt of filled-in application to the undersigned is 4 pm on 31/07/2021.
xiii Applications received late, incomplete or defective form will be summarily rejected.
xiv Applications submitted by candidates other than those belonging to Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment and Low Vision will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued to them.

As per the Notification, self attested copies of certificates of Academic records, Professional contribution in publications, research performance/managerial experience etc. should be attached along with the application in support of applicant’s claim, documents produced later will not be considered in recruitment process.
