Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the following posts on contract basis under the NSE Foundation funded project entitled “National Initiative for Skill Training on Dementia and Mental Health for Caregivers of Older Persons (NIST-DeMCOPe)” under Dr. P T Sivakumar, Professor, Department of Psychiatry, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.
1. 1.Name of the Post: Assistant Professor of Psychiatry
2. Number of Posts: 01
3. Essential Qualification for Eligibility: MD Psychiatry or DNB Psychiatry with minimum 3 years academic/ research experience
4. Desirable Qualification:
a. Training from institute of reputes
b. Clinical, training and administrative experience in the field of Psychiatric rehabilitation / geriatric mental health
c. Experience of working with persons having Geriatric mental health problems / Dementia
d. Experience in training of caregivers
e. Proficiency in Digital training and telepsychiatry
f. Proficiency in Kannada, Hindi / other regional languages
g. Proficiency in presentations, clinical case discussions, publications, pedagogy, communication skills
h. Proficiency in interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively as a team member.
5. Work location: Sakalavara Community Mental Health Centre NIMHANS, Bengaluru with intermittent travel to the implementation sites across India
6. Salary: – Rs.1,40,000 INR per month (consolidated)
7. Duration of the post: 1Year Initial appointment will be for period of six months which will be extendable for six more months depending upon satisfactory performance of the Candidate
