ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
A. (i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria give in Appendix-II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University / college, as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University /National level institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.

B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied disciplines from any academic institution (not included in A above)/ industry, who has made significant
contributions to the knowledge in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence, provided he/she ten years experience
The Central University of Odisha, Koraput has been selected by the UGC for carrying out higher research and extension activities on issues relating to the Tribal People. In order to give a fillip to the studies concerning to the Tribal People, a Chair Professor post for Tribal Studies in the cadre of Professor has been sanctioned. Persons possessing minimum eligible qualification prescribed by the UGC for the post and having proven ability to carry out independent high-quality research in tribal

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University well in advance of the due date (21-02-2022). The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage
2. Incomplete applications/without academic/experience certificates will be rejected.
3. Canvassing in any form by/ on behalf of a candidate will lead to disqualification of candidature.
4. The University reserves the right not to fill-up vacancy as advertised, if the circumstances so warrant. The University also reserves the right to withdraw the advertised post at any
time without giving any reason.
5. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possessing them will not entitle him/her for being called for interview. The
University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and/or experience higher than the minimum prescribed. Call letters to attend interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Email or Speed Post or Registered Post. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed/called for interview
6. In case large numbers of applications are received against the post, the University shall reserve the right to either conduct a written test or adopt any marking system for shortlisting candidates to be called for interview as approved by the Competent Authority.
7. The eligibility of candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications/experience/ publications, etc., acquired by them till the last date fixed for receipt of filled-in
applications. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s previous record and performance in the interview. The University may also utilize seminar /colloquium and/or
any other mode as method of selection.
8. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
9. In case a candidate wants to claim benefits under the Persons with differently able category, the candidate’s relevant disability should be not less than 40 (forty) percent. Proof to this effect in the form of a valid Disability Certificate must be enclosed to the application,without which benefits cannot be claimed for.
10. All disputes are subject to the Koraput jurisdiction.
11. Application Fee of Rs.1,000/- (one thousand) for General and OBC category candidates should be submitted in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of Central University of
Odisha payable at Koraput. No Fee for SC/ST/OBC/Women category candidates.
12. Along with the application form applicants should send self attested copies of employment/work experience, academic certificates and mark-sheets from matriculation
onwards in support of their age, qualifications and experience. Originals should not be sent along with the application but are to be produced at the time of interview for verification.
14. In case the candidate is applying under deputation, duly attested ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years along with vigilance clearance certificates should be sent in a confidential cover
addressed to the Registrar, Central University of Odisha by the concerned employer, failing which the candidature may not be considered.
15. The applicants serving in Government/Semi-Government Organization/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organizations must send their applications through Proper
Channel or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview
