OUAT Recruitment – Assistant Professor Vacancies

                Application in the prescribed format are invited from the eligible candidates for recruitment of Assistant Professor in the following subjects under OUAT

Essential qualification:-

• Minimum 2ndClass Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subject (discipline) with atleast 55 % marks/ equivalent OGPA.
•  Minimum 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with atleast 55 % marks/ equivalent OGPA.
•  The candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated journal. 
• The candidate having Ph.D. degree in concerned subject with course work as prescribed in the UGC Regulation, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of National Eligibility Test (NET) and the candidate must have atleast 02 (two) full length publication having “NAAS” rating not less than 4 on the last date of application. The candidate with Ph.D. Degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption. The candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11.07.2009 shall be exempted from the NET subject to conditions that: (a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only. (b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. Thesis by atleast two external examiners (c) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate has been conducted. (d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which atleast one must be in referred journal. (e) Candidate has made atleast two presentations in conference/ seminars based on his/her Ph.D. work.
• A relaxation of 5 % will be provided from 55% of the Bachelor’s Degree level and the Master’s Degree level for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates.
• Candidates, who have appeared the NET examination, can apply for the post of Assistant Professor/ Equivalent with an undertaking to produce Certificate on the date of interview. 
• NET / SLET/ SET should be cleared in a related subject conducted by ICARI IJGC/ CSIR/ ICMR or any other similar bodies.

Pay Scale:-

Cell-I, Level -10, Rs.57,700/- With usual DA & other allowances as admissible

Age Limit:-

35 Year as on the last date of the application for general Candidates. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/W/SEBC Candidates

How to Apply:

                The prescribed application form, information sheet containing the details of qualification, experience, scale of pay and other required conditions in respect of each post, general information and instruction to the candidate can be downloaded from University website: ouat.nic.in. The application form complete in all respect along with self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets of all examination passed, if any, and research publications should be sent to the Registrar. OUAT. Bhubaneswar-751003. Odisha under Speed post I Registered post so as to reach on or before 5.00 P.M of 14.07.2020. Application received after due date and time shall not be entertained. The University shall not be held responsible for any loss or delay in postal transaction. Incomplete application shall be summarily rejected and no correspondence on that matter shall be entertained. The envelope containing their application should be super scribed APPLICATION FOR along with advertisement No. and date. THE POST OF Candidates are advised to submit the separate application for separate post as per their qualification.

General Information:-

• When applying for more than one post, the candidate should submit separate application for each post with required fees deposited separately.
• Documentary proof in support of experience and Academic Qualifications indicated in the application form should be attached along with the application form failing which the application shall be treated as in-complete and will be rejected.
• Complete name of the post and discipline for which the candidate is applying should be written clearly.
• The most important entries in this form are details of Academic Qualification, list of Publications, Teaching, Research and Extension Experience record.
• Please make sure that all the details are given in the form in which they are required.
• Item No. 15 deals with your publication. Please, give details of title of paper, name of author(s), name of the journal, volume and pages, NAAS rating a separate sheet which have been published or printed. Also you may give reference of papers which have been accepted for publication by a standard journal (Photo copy of the acceptance letter of the Chief Editor/ Editor with the manuscript should be enclosed).
•  A recent passport size color photograph should be pasted on the application
