Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Associate Professors (Direct/Deputation/Contractual basis) in the Centre for Media and Mass Communications: (i) Print Media and (ii) Electronic Media

Qualifications:-
(i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the Mass Media Communications.
(ii) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a pointscale, wherever the grading system is followed)
(iii) A minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University or College or Accredited Research Institution/Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed journals or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria
Other Terms and Conditions:-
1. Incomplete applications in any respect will not be entertained by the Institute.
2. Mere fulfilment of the above-mentioned qualifications & experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
3. No correspondence, whatsoever, will be entertained from candidates regarding conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview or selection.
4. All qualifications must be from UGC recognized University/ Deemed/deemed to be University or AICTE approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). The courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/ recognized by Association of Indian University (AIU).
5. Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy, may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable.
6. For regular appointment there would be a probation period of 1 year.
7. Depending on the academic credentials of the candidate, the institute may consider them for an offer on a contractual basis of one/two years, extendable on the basis of the performance assessment.
8. The application must accompany a fee of Rs. 1,000 (Rupees One Thousand only) drawn in favour of “Jamia Hamdard” payable at New Delhi. The application without the valid fee will not be entertained.
9. The Jamia Hamdard reserves the right to fill up or not fill up the positions advertised or reserve the right to downgrade/upgrade the positions.
10. Applications received after the last date will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
11. Candidates are advised to visit the website of Jamia Hamdard on regular basis (www.Jamiahamdard.edu) updates as amendments, corrigendum (if any), will be placed on the Jamia Hamdard website only.
Note:-
- Paper presented if part of edited book or proceeding then it can be claimed only once.
- For joint supervision of research students, the formula shall be 70% of the total score for Supervisor and Cosupervisor. Supervisor and Co-supervisor, both shall get 7 marks each.
- *For the purpose of calculating research score of the teacher, the combined research score from the categories of 5(b). Policy Document and 6. Invited lectures/Resource Person/Paper presentation shall have an upper capping of thirty percent of the total research score of the teacher concerned.
- The research score shall be from the minimum of three categories out of six categories.
