Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT) is a National Academic and Research Institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, engaged in research and development in the areas of food processing and value addition. IIFPT offers B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph.D programs in the area of Food Processing. Applications are invited from bright, dynamic and highly motivated candidates with requisite eligibility criteria as furnished below for the following faculty positions at IIFPT, Thanjavur on direct recruitment basis.

Essential Qualifications (Food Process Engineering/Agricultural Process Engineering): Doctoral Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Technology/Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing. 10 years’ experience in the relevant subject out of which at least 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band 3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 and Research / Teaching / Extension Education provided 2years of experience should be as an Associate Professor in the Grade Pay of Rs.9000 (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position (Level 13 A of 7th CPC). The Candidate should have made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

Experience: Certificate in support of experience should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the Organization’s letter head bearing the date of issue, specified period of work, pay scale and specified job description issued by the Competent Authority with name and designation.

Essential Qualifications for Professor (Biochemistry): Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry specialized in Food Processing. 10 years’ experience in the relevant subject out of which at least 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay 3 of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 and Research / Teaching / Extension Education provided 2 years’ experience is as an Associate Professor in the Grade Pay of Rs.9000 (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position (Level 13 A of 7th CPC). The Candidate should have made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published worWinnovations and impact.

Essential Qualifications for Associate Professor:– Doctoral Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Technology / Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing. Doctoral degree in relevant engineering with 6 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/ Rs.7000/Rs.8000 (Level 10/11/120f 7th CPC) having made contribution to research/teaching/extension Education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact (or) Master Degree in relevant Engineering subject with 10 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band:3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 10/11/12 or 7th CPC) having made contribution (Level to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published worWinnovations and impact.

Essential Qualifications for Assistant Professor:

Master Degree

Application Fee:- The candidates must apply through online in the application form available in the Institute website www.iifpt.edu.in and required application fee of Rs.500/- has to be paid through SBI Collect available in the Institute’s web-site: www.iifpt.edu.in. SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee. The off-line application sent directly to the Institute will not be considered.

General and Important Instructions:-

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. The candidates must apply through online in the application form available in the Institute website www.iilbt.edu.in and required application fee of Rs.500/- has to be paid through SBI Collect available in the Institute’s web-site: www.iifpt.edu.in. SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee. The off-line application sent directly to the Institute will not be considered.

3. The candidate must upload soft copies of all certificates and relevant documents in support of their claim in the online application form wherever necessary. Candidates must upload the first page of all publications listed in online application, failing which such publications will not be considered for score calculation. Hence, candidates are advised to prepare the pdf files of each of the required documents before starting the online application process.

4. Candidates are advised to fill each and every column of the application form carefully. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.

5. The candidates those who are applying for more than one post should submit separate online application for each post.

6. The IIFPT will not be responsible for any delay/non-receipt of application(s) on time.

7. Candidates are required to bring hard copies of all publications along with hard copy of the application form at the time of interview.

8. Candidates must bring all original Degree Certificates, Mark Sheets, Certificates relating to Age, Category, Experience, etc. at the time of interview. In case, any candidate fails to submit the original certificates/documents for verification, he/ she shall not be allowed to appear for the interview and his/her candidature shall be treated as cancelled without any further communication in this regard.

9. The applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the post. It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his/her eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying in accordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc. Submit application duly filled-in along with required information, documents and other supporting materials as per the advertisement

10. Candidates with requisite qualifications and experience acquired from recognized University/lnstitutions need only apply. Candidates who have obtained degrees from any Institution declared as fake/derecognized by the UGC/or any other Statutory Bodies shall not be eligible for being considered for recruitment to the posts advertised.

The following documents need to be attached with the application form:

a. The receipt of online application fee ofRs.500/- generated in SBI Collect.

b. Self-attested copy of proof certificates of birth, academic qualification, experience, publications, awards, category (OBC/EWS/PWD), proof of special attainments and all other claims in the application. The certificates and other documents should be in the prescribed format.

3.
