Qualification Details:

The eligible candidates are invited to apply for the contractual eleven monthly temporary academic position of Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering) on consolidated pay for Diploma in Fisheries Engineering, Shirgaon, Ratnagiri as detailed below:

1. Designation: Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering)

2. No. of Posts: One

3. Consolidated: Rs. 35,000/-

4. Duration: Contractual Eleven Monthly Temporary Basis

5. Qualification:

(i) Ph. D. in the relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering & Technology). OR Masters degree in relevant discipline from an accredited University along with National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) / University Grants Commission (UGC) / Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET).

(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) shall also not be required for such masters program in disciplines for which National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SELT) / State Eligibility Test (SET) is not conducted.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The envelope should be super scribed as ‘Application for the post Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering) on Contractual Eleven Monthly Temporary Basis’ for Diploma in Fisheries Engineering, Shirgaon, Tal. & Dist. Ratnagiri.

2. For academic post besides teaching activity, candidate has to perform other essential duties related to teaching i.e. conduct of attendance of the students, setting of question paper, setting of model answer papers, checking of answer papers, declaration of results, conducting field visits, educational study tours, academic / extension / extra-curricular activities / programs organized etc. Theory class will be of one hour, while practical class will be of two hours duration.

3. The eligible shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by selection committee.

4. The venue, date and time of interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

5. The existing rules of the State Govt. in respect of age limit will be applicable.

6. No. TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates attending the interview.

7. The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and will co-terminate as per the requirement.

8. The selected candidate will be required to give an undertaking in the prescribed format on stamped paper worth Rs. 100/-.

9. The selected candidate will have to give one-month advance notice if he / she desire to leave the job failing which he/she will have to surrender one month’s salary.

10. The competent authority reserves the right to reject one or all the applications at their discretion without quoting any reason thereof.

11. The candidate’s performance will be evaluated by the competent authority and if the work and the conduct of the candidate is not found satisfactory his / her services will be terminated even before the completion of the term for which he / she is appointed.

12. The consolidated pay given in this advertisement may be changed as per the decision of the University or revised as per the guidelines in future.

13. As this scheme is education oriented and continuous in nature, the selected candidate should render their services with due responsibility and given the result of the scheme as well as all other information as per the requirement of scheme to concerned office and as per directives from the University.

14. Misconduct or miss behavior in any manner may result into cancellation of candidature.
