National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development invites applications from dynamic, result oriented and experienced professionals for filling up of faculty positions on Contract with consolidated emoluments/Deputation as per following details:

Post and Pay Level:  Assistant Director Pay Level – 10

Educational qualification and Experience:-

1. For contractual appointment (Monthly Consolidated Emoluments Rs. 1.45 Lakh)
   1. Master’s Degree in Economics/Development Studies/ Statistics/ Engineering or Technology/ Business Management or any of the area in Social Sciences from a recognized University.
   2. Minimum 3 years’ post qualification (i.e. Masters’ Degree) experience in research or teaching in Govt./ University/ Autonomous Bodies/ reputed research institution in any of the areas namely; sustainable development/ structural reforms/monitoring and evaluation of policy, program/ Statistics /Econometrics/ Labour Economics/ Industrial Economics/ Economics of Health /Education/Rural Development, etc.

Desirable:-

A Doctorate Degree in relevant subject/field. Practical experience of handling consultancy research projects in any field relevant to structural reforms, sustainable development, economic growth, human development, manpower planning or development of information system and data bank. Experience of Socio-economic research/Manpower Planning/Manpower Development in Industry. Experience of using Econometric/Statistical software like SPSS etc.

Deputation:-

Officers of Central Govt./State Govt./University/Autonomous Bodies/Research Institutions: holding analogous post on regular basis OR 2 with 3 years regular service in the pay level-8 of Rs.47,600 – 1,51, 100 and possessing qualification and experience prescribed for contractual appointment as above.

Age Limit:-

Not less than 26 years but not exceeding 35 years (Not Exceeding 56 Years for Deputation)

Other Terms and Conditions:-

• Applicant must be Citizen of India. The term of Contract/Deputation will be Initially for a period of three years and further extendable for another two years depending upon performance.
• Those employed in Govt./Public Sector Organisation, Autonomous Body must send their application through proper channel.
• Relaxation to deserving candidates will be considered as per rules and discretion of the competent authority.
• Outstation candidates called for Interview will be paid 3rd AC class return rail/bus fare by the shortest route.
• The candidates for the post of Director and Joint Director shall be required to enclose three pieces of published research work along with application. The selection for all posts may be based on presentation followed by the interview.
• The candidate seeking reservation under SC/ST/OBC/EWS shall be required to enclose attested copies of caste certificate issued by the appropriate authority in prescribed format, in support of their claim.
• The Candidates seeking reservation under OBC and EWS shall be required to give a declaration/undertaking duly signed by the candidate in the prescribed format stating that “I belong to non-creamy layer/economically weaker section” as per the norms prescribed by the Govt. of India. No reservation is applicable in case of appointment on Deputation.
• On appointment, the contractual employees will not be entitled to gratuity, leave encashment, CPF/NPS, residential accommodation, official transport. They will however be entitled to 8 days leave on pro-rata basis in a calendar year. The terms and conditions for appointment on deputation will however be regulated as per DoPT orders and guidelines issued from time to time.
• The Institute reserves the right not to fill up any or all the post(s) advertised and may at its discretion change the number of posts as per requirement.
• The candidates who wish to apply for more than one post, should submit separate application for each post. Application (s) incomplete in any form or received after the closing date will not be considered.
• For the posts of Director and Joint Director, preference will be given to the candidates who have experience in generating revenues from research and training assignments/activities.
• Departmental Assistant Director/Deputy Director working on regular basis, if selected as Deputy Director/Joint Director will be considered on promotion basis. xiii.
