Sub: Recruitment to various posts of Officers (tenure basis) in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

1. Applications are invited in the prescribed form for filling up the following posts of Officers (tenure basis) from the candidates who are qualified as on the last date fixed for receipt of applicätionstin the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

Post Descriptions:-

Qualification:-

1. Director of Research, Director of Extension, Deans, Dean of Student Welfare:
2. A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of agricultural sciences from a recognized University. Note: In-service candidates are exempted from possessing a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of agricultural sciences from recognized University.
3. A Master’s degree in any discipline of agricultural sciences with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4 (Trimester system) and/or OGPA of 8 out of 10 (Semester system).

• A Doctoral degree in any agricultural discipline.

1. One should have a minimum of eight years of service in the cadre of Professor to become eligible to apply for the posts.
2. A minimum of five publications in the refereed journals with NAAS rating of not less than 5 during their service.

• Scale of pay: Rs.144200-218200 (with admissible allowances)

Application Fee:-

The applicants have to enclose the processing fee in the form of Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque for Rs.3000/- (in case of SCIST Rs. 1500/- only)

Instructions:-

• The persons claiming reservation under Hyderabad-Karnataka (Kalyana Karnataka) Region have to enclose requisite certificate issued by the competent authorities in support of their claim. In case of employees of UAS, Dharwad, only those who have exercised their option for the State Level Local Cadre are eligible to apply for the post earmarked for candidates belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (Kalyana Karnataka) Region.
• Persons other than those belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (Kalyana Karnataka) Region need not apply for the post under the said quota.
• In case candidates belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (Kalyana Karnataka) Region are not available for the post reserved for the said category, the vacancy will be carried forward for future notifications as a backlog.
• The entire notification including the application forms prescribed for each of the posts notified is accessible from the official website (http://www.uasd.edu) of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.
• The applicants have to enclose the processing fee in the form of Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque for Rs.3000/- (in case of SCIST Rs. 1500/- only) payable to “Comptroller, UAS, Dharwad” drawn within the period from 25.05.2021 to 24.06.2021 while submitting the filled in application form.
• The filled-in applications which do not accompany the prescribed fee are liable to be rejected.
• Separate applications with separate fee are required for each of the posts applied. Applications for two different posts should not be tagged together.
• The qualifications and score cards for selection of candidates for the said posts (except for the post of University Librarian) shall be in accordance with the University Notifications No.R/RecWBOM-45,48/2019 dated 15.07.2019 and No.R/RIG/R016/BOM-55/2020-21 dated 12.02.2021. The qualifications and score card for selection of candidate for the post of University Librarian shall be in accordance with the University Notification No. RIBOR- 121/2007 dated 13.12.2007 and No.R/Rectt./B-121/2007 dated 13.12.2007.
• The applicant should have a minimum period of one year of service as on the last date of submission of his/her application for the Officers’ posts except for the post of University Librarian.
• Ex-servicemen or children of defense personnel killed or disabled in action are exempted from payment of processing fee provided they furnish appropriate certificate along with the filled-in applications.
• Persons with working knowledge in Kannada language shall be preferred.
• The candidates who have studied under Trimester System and other than 10 point grading system are required to produce the equivalent percentage certificates obtained from the respective University. This is not applicable to the candidates in respect of the degrees obtained from UAS, Dharwad and UAS, Bangalore.
• Working hours of the University: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday and 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturday.
• Applications must be accompanied by attested copies of Marks Sheets, Certificates, Experience Certificates, Certificates of Awards / Medals, Certificates related to past service etc. and copies of research publications, if any, in support of eligibility. All the items as mentioned in the application shall be supported by the relevant and authorized documents. Only such documents / records will be taken into consideration for award of marks.
• Details regarding National / International Awards (recognized by ICAR, CSIR, DBT, Ministries of State or Central Govt. FAO of the UN, etc.), Institutional Awards / recognized Professional Society Awards etc. should be clearly mentioned for proper appraisal.
• Candidates already in service (Government / Quasi Government or Private) should submit their applications through proper channel. Candidates anticipating delay in sending their applications through proper channel may submit an advance copy of the application along with the processing fee. The original application duly forwarded by the parent office must reach this office within a fortnight after the last date prescribed for submission of filled in applications. Such of the candidates who do not forward their applications through the parent office have to produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview, failing which, they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
• All communications in respect of applications for recruitment against the posts advertised by the University should be addressed to The Registrar, University of Agricultural Sciences, Krishinagar, Dharwad — 580 005 (Karnataka).
• The vacancies now notified are provisional and are subject to variations. The University reserves the right to fill-in any or all the vacancies.
• The processing fee shall not be reimbursed in any case.
• For all recruitments to the posts in the University, other things being equal, the UAS, Dharwad employees shall be given preference.

• Applications received after the last date and incomplete candidate has submitted more than one application for the same post before the last date, the latest application will be considered as valid for the purpose of recruitment.
