                School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the year 2008. The Institute has been declared as an Institute of National Importance under SPA Act 2014. The aim of the Institute is to cater the growing demand of Architects and Planners and to promote advance research in this field. The Institute is offering Bachelors and Masters Degree as well as Doctoral and Post Doctoral Programs in Architecture and Planning. In order to consolidate its research activities at different departments, the Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals those who possess respective/specific qualifications for faculty positions as per details provided in following pages. The Institute is looking for dedicated and committed candidates to fill up the following vacancies to work at its campus at Bhauri, Bhopal.

INFORMATION/ DETAILS ABOUT ADVERTISED POST OF PROFESSOR/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

1. All Academic Positions at SPA Bhopal are for dedicated and committed candidates to work at the Institute permanent campus near Bhauri, Bhopal. Academic positions are invited to consolidate research activities of the institute, hence, only the candidates with research experience will be considered. Those candidates not possessing the doctoral degree must submit a volume of work which they want to be considered as equivalent to Ph.D. for the positions where required degree is Ph.D. An equivalence Committee would examine the submitted volume of work to shortlist the candidates.
2. The Institute may also consider any application on deputation basis at the discretion of SPA Bhopal considering the requirement of the Institute. The candidates willing to apply on deputation should clearly mention in their application and in forwarding letter from their institute. The new rule about mobility of employees in new institutions may be seen vide order F.No. 8-9/2008-T.S.I dated 28th December, 2011.
3. Persons serving in Govt./Semi Govt./PSUs/ Govt. Funded Institutions/University/Private University/ Autonomous Bodies should send their application either THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL and person serving in private Institutions are compulsorily required to send “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE ” and VIGILANCE CERTIFICATE along with application. If the application would not be forwarded through proper channel and/or the candidate does not produce No Objection Certificate. Candidature will not be considered.
4. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from UGC/MHRD recognized Universities/Institution. Degrees obtained from foreign institutions should be equivalent to UGC/AIU recognized degrees. Applicant has to produce Equivalence certificate, in case, nomenclature of prescribed qualification is not matching with the degree certificate of the applicant
5. Candidates applying for a specific field/Department must have relevant degree/qualification as per the requirement of the post for example person applying for Transport Planning must be having master degree in Transport Planning not in Transport Engineering, person applying for Environmental Planning must have master degree in Environmental Planning.
6. Candidates are required to submit the details of Publication/Journals (clearly mentioning Title, Author, Addition, Publisher, ISBN, ISSN, year of publication, page number etc.) /research work/projects in separate sheet. Without these details the publications will not be considered.
   
   
7. Candidates applying for more than one post specified by separate serial no. and department may apply separately for each post indicating the name and code/serial no. of the post.
8. Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificate/documents/photograph/fee receipt will be summarily rejected.
9. The school reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, not to make recruitment to any post(s), to shortlist candidates for interviews and to accept or reject any application at any stage without assigning any reason.
10. If outstation candidates called for interview will be paid TA as per the norms of the institute. No international travel expenses will be paid to any candidate
11. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for. No interim enquiries/ correspondence/ communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter or after the selection procedures. The information shall be provided to the short listed candidates for presentation/interview by E-mail/display institute website in recruitment portal.
12. . Reservation will be as per Govt. of India norms against submitting the Caste Certificate/PH certificate in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India.
13. Candidates applying for the post reserved for SC and ST must submit latest attested copy of caste certificate in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India: otherwise the application will be summarily rejected without further consideration.

• Application Process:- The aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can submit their application through ON-LINE mode only. The On-line submission of application is made available on SPA, Bhopal official website i.e. http://spabhopal.ac.in. Instructions for filling and the link for submission of online applications will be activated from 17th November, 2020 time 10:00 Am and the last date of online submission of applications will be 30th November, 2020 time 05:00 Pm.
• Applicants are required to send print out of the duly filled online application form with self-attested documents addressed to Registrar, School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal, Neelbad Road, Bhauri, Bhopal – 462 030, Madhya Pradesh through Speed Post/Registered post/ or in person only so as to reach on or before 6 th November, 2020. Applications should not be sent through courier service. The school will not be responsible for any postal loss or delay in receipt of applications and the applications received after the last date, will not be entertained.

• The prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated in the advertisement are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be shortlisted for interview. The candidate with higher qualification and relevant experience of longer duration in required field will be given preference.
• List of shortlisted candidates to be called for Written test/Interview will be displayed on institute website. Candidates will also be informed through email.
• Shortlisted candidates would be called for Interview. They shall report at SPA Bhopal, Bhauri campus along with original testimonials. The original documents will be verified at the time of interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview
• Institute reserves the right to shortlist limited candidates among the eligible candidates as per advertised criteria, increase or decrease the number of posts, not to make recruitment to any post(s), to shortlist candidates for interviews and to accept or reject any application at any stage without assigning any reason.
