Qualification Details:-

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur (Hereinafter referred to as ‘the University’) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens to fill up faculty positions on regular/contract basis. Eligible/suitable candidates may submit their applications in the prescribed format. Minimum qualifications and/or experiences for these positions shall be as under:

Engineering & Technology, Management, and MCA (As Per AICTE Notification No. F. No. 61-1/RIFD/7th CPC/2016-17 Dated 1st March 2019)

1. Position: Assistant Professor

2. Pay: Pay Scale (As per 7th Pay Commission)- Level- 10, Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400/- Entry Pay Rs. 57,700/-

3. Qualification/ Experience:

(i) Engineering / Technology: B. E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

(ii) Management: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ PGDM/ C. A./ ICWA/ M. Com. with First Class or equivalent and two years of professional experience after acquiring the degree of Master’s degree.

(iii) MCA: B. E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M.E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. OR B. E., B. Tech., and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees. OR Graduation of three years’ duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience after acquiring degree of MCA.

 

Science (As Per UGC Regulations in Accordance With Clause 5.1(j) of AICTE Notification No. F. No. 61-1/RIFD/7th CPC/2016-17 Dated 1st March 2019)

Position: Assistant Professor

Pay: Pay Scale (As per 7th Pay Commission)- Level- 10, Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400/- Entry Pay Rs. 57,700/-

Qualification/ Experience:

(i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:

(iii) Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Byelaws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:

a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;

b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

(iv) The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

 

Pharmacy (As per PCI Regulations)

1. Position: Lecturer/ Assistant Professor

2. Minimum Qualification:

(i) Basic degree in B. Pharm with First Class

(ii) Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act.

(iii) Master’s degree in Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.

(iv) A PCI recognized Pharm. D degree holder shall also be eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor in the subjects of pathophysiology, pharmacology and pharmacy practice.

Application Fee:
Application fee shall be Rs. 1500/- for General and OBC candidate and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST, EWS candidates and No Fees for PwD candidate. All Fees shall be payable online only .

Note:-

1. Minimum qualifications and/or experience are to be possessed till the last date of online application i.e., 11.10.2021.

2. All regular posts carry dearness and other allowances as per U.P. Govt. rules applicable to this University, from time to time.

3. Number and nature of vacancies may be changed. No claim shall be admissible arising out of the change in nature and/or number of posts advertised. The University reserves the right not to fill any or all the posts.

4. The employed candidates must send their applications through proper channel.

5. Separate applications are to be filled for each post.

6. The horizontal reservations for female candidates, PwD (Person with Disability), dependent of freedom fighters and Ex–serviceman will be applicable as per State Government Rules.

General Conditions:-

1. Minimum qualifications and/or experience mentioned above are subject to rules/ regulations/ norms/ directives including amendments in the present regulations as stipulated by the AICTE/ UGC / PCI/ State Govt. or any other Competent Authority applicable to such recruitments.

2. Applicants must fulfill the minimum qualifications and/or experience prescribed for the posts. Period spent by the candidates to acquire Ph. D. degree shall not be considered as research experience.

3. It shall be the responsibility of the candidates to assess their eligibility for the post for which they are applying in accordance with the prescribed qualifications and/or experience and submit the application duly filled-in, along with the desired information and documents as per the advertisement. Suppression of information, submission of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or canvassing in any manner on part of the candidates shall lead to their disqualification. In case, it is detected at any time in the future, even after appointment, that the candidate was not eligible, appointment of the candidate shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause. In case of any ambiguity in the recruitment rules in general and eligibility for any post, the decision of the University shall be final.

4. The cutoff date for determining the eligibility shall be the last date of submission of online application form i.e., 11.10.2021. Candidates not possessing the prescribed qualification and/or experience as on the last date of online application shall not be considered in any case.

5. The qualification and experiences prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle a candidate to be called for written test/ interview.

6. Applications that are incomplete in any respect, not submitted through the prescribed link, or received after the last date shall not be entertained.

7. Separate application form along with prescribed fee should be submitted for each post applied for.

9. EWS candidates are required to submit a valid certificate in prescribed format of the Government of duly issued by the Competent Authority.

11. Experience and Qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of online application form.

12. The recruitment process can be cancelled/ suspended/ terminated without assigning any reasons. The decision of the University shall be final, and no appeal shall be entertained.

13. Candidates called for interview shall not be entitled for any T.A./D.A. Candidates called for writeen test /interview shall have to essentially come with the original documents in support of their claim in application form and as prescribed in interview letter, failing which they shall not be considered for interview.

14. Addendum/ corrigendum/ notices to this advertisement, if any, shall be published only on the University website (http://www.mmmut.ac.in) and will not be published in the newspapers. Therefore, candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly.

15. Candidates selected against the regular posts shall be initially appointed on probation, period of which shall be two years in case of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor, and one year in case of Professor. Probation period is subject to extension if the performance is not satisfactory. However, the University reserves the right to make appointment for limited period on any of such posts.

16. All appointments made against these posts shall be governed by the provisions of the Act/ Statutes/ Rules and Regulations of the University from time to time.

3. Print out of online application form must be supported by self-attested copies of marks sheets/certificates/ degrees/caste certificate/age certificate/ experience certificate/no objection certificate/list of titles, books, research papers, articles, publications, patents etc. as mentioned in application form. A passport size selfattested photograph should be affixed on the application form in the space provided.

4. Employed candidates must send their applications through proper channel. However, an advance copy may be sent to reach before the last date and the application duly forwarded through proper channel must reach within 15 days from the last date of submitting online application failing which the candidature shall stand cancelled automatically.

5. Last date to submit online applications is 11.10.2021.
