Posts, Minimum Educational Qualifications and Experience for Faculty Positions:-

1. Name of Post: Assistant Professor

Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 3 years in teaching / research / industry. The teaching / research experience should be at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad

2. Name of Post:Assistant Professor (Contract)

Minimum Educational Qualification: Candidates with less then three years of post Ph.D. experience can apply for Assistant Professor (Contract). After obtaining 3 years of Post Ph.D. experience, their services can be regularized based on their satisfactory performance.

3. Name of Post:Associate Professor

Minimum Educational Qualification: Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 6 years in teaching / research / industry. Out of this at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.

4. Name of Post:Professor

Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant discipline Experience: Post Ph.D. experience of 10 years in teaching / research / industry. Out of this at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent at institutes such as IITs, IISc Bengaluru, IISERs, NITIE Mumbai, NITs or institutions of repute within India or abroad.

Note:-

• Minimum education qualification for all above posts is Ph.D. Under no circumstances Masters Degree holder without Ph.D. should apply.
• The period of experience shall be as on the last date of receipt of application in Hard-copy i.e. 16th July, 2021.
• In addition to satisfying the minimum qualification, the candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, a commitment for imparting high quality undergraduate and post-graduate education and an inclination towards creative research. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. Institute reserves its right to shortlist the candidates based on the sub specialization needed in a particular discipline.
• Though the advertisement does not specify any particular specialization, the institute, depending on its teaching requirement shall give preference to such sub-areas within a discipline as may be determined by the Institute.
• Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to and fro travel expenses from place of residence in India as per the Institute norms (max. II AC railway fare).
• Only for overseas candidates, interview may be conducted on Skype or other electronic mode.
• The candidates in Government or Government aided organizations have to necessarily apply through proper channel.
• Emoluments: IITRAM follows pay scale of IITs as per VI CPC. The scales are likely to be revised to VII CPC in due course of time.
