JNU has established an Odia Language Chair in the name of “Adikabi Sarala Das Chair of Odia Studies” in the Centre of Indian Languages, School of Language, Literature & Cultural Studies with the support of the Govt. of Odisa. The thrust area of study of the Chair will be teaching and research programme in Odia Language, Literature and Cultural Traditions and Social Institutions.
JNU invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor in Odia Language, named “Adikabi Sarala Das Chair”. The minimum qualifications are as under:
Expertise in Odia Language, Literature & Cultural Studies (with Ph. D. in the relevant area);
teaching/research experience of at least 05 years in Odia Language, Literature & Cultural Traditions and Social Institutions; good functional knowledge of English/Hindi; publications of books or articles in journals experience of teaching/guiding research.
The post of Assistant Professor shall be in the scale of pay of Rs. 15,600-39,100 (PB-3) +AGP of Rs. 6,000 (pre-revised) and the appointment shall be made initial period of 2 years extendable up to a maximum of 5 years.
