a) Research in Jain Religion, philosophy, culture, architectures, Jain scientific literature.
b) Institutional research.
c) Review of world literature pertaining to Jain religion.
d) Research regarding comparative study of changing socio economic and political dimensions of Jain community.
6. Desirable Qualification :
a) Person with research publications, books (both in English and Marathi) / edited volumes and textbooks will be given preference.
b) The applicant’s professional achievements will be given favorable consideration.
c) The applicant must be conversant with Interdisciplinary approach and must have earlier work done in the form of publications / conference / seminars in the field of Jainology.
7. Emoluments :
a) The emoluments for the post will be Rs. 40000/- per month fixed.
b) Necessary Secretarial Assistance will be provided.
c) The applications should be submitted to the undersigned within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement
8. Nature of appointment: The total tenure of the post is three years. The initial tenure of the incumbent of the chair professor is one year. Subsequently it may extended for two more years depending on academic performance
9. Duties and Responsibility : The duties and responsibilities will be as per Shivaji University Statutes and as per Mahaveer Chair in Jainology.
