ESIC Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai proposes to fill up the medical teaching faculty – Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in the disciplines mentioned below on contractual basis through walk-in interview. The details of vacancies and reservation position is as under:

4. Essential for Medical Candidates
(i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in part-II of the Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and
(ii) A post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
(iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline
5. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates:
(i) A post graduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and
(ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the table –I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India- “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”.
6. Experience:
Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with a minimum of four research publications accepted/published in indexed journal in the concerned specialty on cumulative basis with minimum of two research publications during the tenure of the AssociateProfessor. Authorship in research Publication-Published/Accepted for publication: Before 8th June, 2017 -1 st/2nd Author After 8th June, 2017-1 st/Corresponding Author

Documents Required:-
The following testimonials should be submitted at the time of walk-in-interview:
a) Two copy of recent self-attested passport size photograph.
b) Self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational Qualification, Experience and Research Papers, Publications etc.
c) Original certificates and testimonials in support of proof of age (Date of Birth), Educational Qualification, Experience and Research Papers, Publications etc., should be submitted at the time of interview.
d) Certificate issued by competent medical board in respect of Persons with Bench Mark Disabilities.
e) Candidates seeking reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD category must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the notice and as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India. They should also produce original certificates in the prescribed format of Govt. of India in support of their claim.
f) Persons working in Central Government/ State Government/ Central Autonomous bodies/ State Autonomous bodies/ Central PSUs/ State PSUs/have to produce no objection certificate from their employer at the time of document verification.
General Instructions-
(i) Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be eligible for interview unless they report on the scheduled date and time.
(ii) Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only. The applications submitted in any other format OR incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
(iii) The candidates may ascertain their eligibility and report for interviewon the scheduled date and time for interview. Candidates reporting after scheduled time will not be allowed to attend the interview process.
(iv) ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned.

Selection Procedure :
(i) The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board.

3. The research publications are not mandatory for retired/resigned/voluntarily retired from Government or other Medical Colleges in case of their re-appointment on the same designation.
4. The Number of posts may increase or decrease due to administrative reasons.
5. The actual appointment will be subject to outcome in case of recruitment related litigations in any department.
6. The post advertised can be upgraded/downgraded depending on the vacancy.
