Instructions for Applicants:-

1. The posts at Sl. No 1 & 2 i.e. Assistant Professor (Grade-II) (on contract) are on purely contract basis for a fixed period of time.

2. All applicants shall have Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent specialization listed above and shall have first class or equivalent in the preceding degree.

3. How to apply: Applicants are required to submit online application using online faculty recruitment portal available on the Institute website (www.iiitk.ac.in). Candidates applying for more than one post are required to submit separate application for each post. Enclosures, if any, in support of application are to be uploaded as separate documents (pdf), along with the application form.

4. Non-refundable online application fee of Rs.500/- is to be paid through SBI Collect https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=927770 SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Women candidates are exempted from
submitting the application fee.

5. A detailed Academic Profile, inter alia, including the following information is required to be submitted: A Teaching Plan, indicating core courses from the curriculum of IIITDM Kurnool (available at www.iiitk.ac.in) that the applicant can teach and also an expanded statement of his/her objectives and long term interests in course work development. In case of candidates having prior teaching experience, the statement should contain student feedback ratings, profiles of 3 best courses taught in the last three years (profile should contain course outline/ teaching plan, novel methods used, if any, including online content, term papers, group activity, feedback etc.).The
statement should also include details of any teaching related awards and details of participation in teacher development programs as participant or as mentor.

6. A Research Plan highlighting current and past research interests and achievements as also future plans in the short and long terms is to be submitted. The plan shall also highlight the achievements of guided research scholars especially where one can take pride in the work done or the role played in guiding.

7. Details of SCI Journal publications: Candidates are expected to submit a list of journal publications along with copies of 4 best papers authored by them in the last 5 years chronologically listing: Names of authors, Title of the paper, Name of the Journal, Volume, pages (from – to), year, citation count, impact factor of the journal etc.

8. Details of Awards, Patents, Prizes/Awards etc., indicating: Nature, Name of prize/award, awarded by, awarded for, year of award; Name of the patent, year and details about the patent, etc. as well as the candidate’s specific contribution vis-a- vis the Co-inventors.

9. Research Guidance (provide only Ph.D. with formal Guide Status): Research degree, Name of the scholar, Title of the Thesis, Year of award etc along with status of the Ph.D. are to be indicated clearly.

10. Higher initial basic pay may be given to exceptionally qualified and deserving candidates with relevant experience.

12. Applicants from abroad making payment directly in to the Account should enclose an acknowledgement having payment reference number with the application form.

13. Incomplete/ partially filled online application forms will not be considered.

14. Persons employed in Government/Semi- Government Organization or Educational Institution must enclose NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE along with online application. In case, NOC is not enclosed, a copy of duly filled in
application may be submitted through online portal together with a selfdeclaration by the candidate stating that NOC will be submitted at the time of interview.

15. The candidates who submit the self-declaration may note that if he/she will not be interviewed if NOC is not produced at the time of interview.

16. No correspondence by any means, will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct & result of interview, reasons for not being called for interview.

17. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.

18. A candidate may be offered a lower Post/level of Pay other than the post for which the applicant would be called for interview based on his performance in the interview, qualifications, and experience etc.

19. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist only the candidates whose area of specialization/research meet the requirements of the Institute.

20. The Institute may consider candidates whose area of specialization is equivalent to the disciplines, provided such persons have an outstanding record.

21. The Institute reserves the right to rectify any discrepancy in the pay, Pay Level, etc., in this advertisement, if found later.

22. The invitation to candidate for interview merely indicates the suitability for the post and conveys no assurance whatsoever that he/she will be recommended or selected, or his/her conditions specified in the application will be accepted.

Selection Procedure:-

1. The selection process consists of two phases a) Seminar b) Interview. However, the Institute may also conduct screening test for entry level positions in some departments, if required.

2. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to give seminar before the duly constituted committee. Only the candidates recommended by the committee based on their performance in the seminar shall attend interview before the selection panel.
