North East Regional Institute of Education will be appointing Assistant Professors purely on Contractual Basis and Part Time Basis for the following posts

Essential Qualification:-
- Good Academic record with at least 55o/o of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale at Master Degree level in the relevant subject (Social Science/ English/ Mathematics/ Physical Education) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualification, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)/SLET in the relevant subject for Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC/CSIR or any other agency accredited by the UGC. Exemption, if any, to be provided will be strictly as per guidelines issued by MHRD, GOI and UGC to persons who have obtained a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the standards prescribed by the UGC under University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and procedures for award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) regulation,2009
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed/M.A.Education) with minimum 55%o marks (This criteria may be relaxed in case candidates with required qualifications are not found for the posts)
Experience (Desirable):-
Teaching Experience in College/ Institutions for teaching Methodology for B.Ed/M.Ed Students for methods of Mathematics, Social Science, Fine and Performing Arts and Physical Education.
Important Instructions:-
- The posts are purely on Contrastual Basis/ Part Time Basis. The appointment shall initially be for a period of one year or less as per requirement of the Institute.
- The selected candidates will have to join the Institute physically after verification of all the original testimonials including education qualification, proof of age etc
- The selected candidates have to submit a recent passport size photograph and self-attested copies of testimonials at the time of joining.
- Any selected candidate failing to join in the stipulated joining time, the next immediate candidate in the merit list will be given the offer of appointment.
- The Institute shall verifl, the antecedents/ documents submitted by the candidate at any time of interview/ appointment or during the tenure of the service, [n case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has undesirable clandestine/ antecedents and has suppressed the said information, then his/her service shali be terminated.
- Candidates already in job should submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their current employers along with their application.
- Minimum eligibility only does not constitute a claim for selection
- Offer of appointment to the selected candidates will be sent through e-mail only.

- The competent authority reserves the right to cancel/ suspend/ postpone the recruitment process
Selection Procedure:-
- Interview for the posts will be conducted online through video conferencing.
- Application forms will be scrutinized by the Institute and eligible candidates will be intimated to appear for Online Interview through e-mail or telephone. The list of eligible candidates for the online interview will be uploaded in the NERIE website. Candidates are requested to frequently visit the website for updates on the interview schedule
