National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is an apex technical Institute for promoting health and family welfare programmes in the country through Education and Training, Research and Evaluation, Consultancy, Advisory and Specialized Services. Professor (Planning and Evaluation): One post (Unreserved)

Scale of pay: Pay Band 4 Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.10000+NPA

Age limit: Upto 50 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Government)

Educational and other qualifications:

Essential:

  • Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Postgraduate degree such as MD (CHA) / MD (PSM) / MD (Community Medicine) or equivalent degree of a recognized University.
  • Four years experience as Reader / Associate Professor in the concerned subject in Medical College or in an equivalent grade in a research/training institution.
  • Evidence of published work of high quality during the last 4 years.

Desirable:

  • Three years administrative experience in responsible position.

Professor (Reproductive Bio-Medicine): One post (Unreserved)

Scale of pay:Pay Band 4 Rs.37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.10000+NPA

Age limit: Upto 50 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Government)

Educational and other qualifications:

Essential:

Assistant Professor (RBM-Clinic): Two posts (Reserved for OBC)

Scale of pay:Pay Band 3 Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.6000+NPA

Age limit: Upto 35 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Government)

Educational and other qualifications:

 Essential:

  • Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Post-graduate degree in Surgery/ Medicine / Obst. & Gynae or equivalent degree from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Atleast 3 years teaching / training / research experience as Demonstrator / Tutor / Registrar / Resident in the Medicine, Surgery Obst. / Gynae.

Assistant Professor (Health Economics) : One post (Reserved for ST)

Scale of pay:Pay Band 3 Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.6000

Age limit: Upto 35 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Government)

Educational and other qualifications:

Essential:

  • Good academic record with at least 50% marks in Master’s degree in Economics/Social Sciences from a recognized University / Institution.
  • A doctoral degree in Economics/Social Sciences from a recognized University / Institution.

Desirable

  • Experience in the field of Health and Family Welfare.

Assistant Professor (Bio-Medical Research): One post (SC)

Scale of pay: Pay Band 3 Rs.15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay Rs.6000+NPA for medicos

Age limit: Upto 35 years. (Relaxable upto 5 years for government servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Government)

Educational and other qualifications:

Essential -For Medical

  • Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Postgraduate degree in Surg./Med./Obst. & Gynae./ or equivalent degree of a recognized University/Institution.
  • At least 3 years teaching/training/research experience as Demonstrator/Tutor /Registrar/Resident in the Medicine Surgery, Obst./Gynae.

Essential –For Non-Medical

  • Good academic record with at least 50% marks in Master’s degree in Physiology, Zoology or Biochemistry with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Doctoral degree in Physiology/Zoology/Biochemistry/ Male contraception/ Reproductive Endocrinology.
