IIM Tiruchirappalli (the Institute, IIMT) invites applications for faculty positions from candidates belonging to NC-OBC/SC/ST/PwD/EWS categories only, with outstanding academic record and proven credentials in teaching and research in management in India/abroad. IIMT is looking for dynamic and motivated faculty with passion for teaching, research and zeal to excel in the field of management education. General Instructions:

5. Qualifications acquired must be duly recognized by law. All qualifications must be from UGC recognized University/ Deemed University or AICTE approved autonomous institution (wherever applicable). Courses offered by Autonomous Institutions should be equivalent to the relevant course approved/ recognized by Association of Indian University (AIU).
6. Applicants should satisfy the experience criteria as on the last date of receipt of applications. Duration of PhD (and experience acquired therein) will not be counted for the purpose of experience.
7. Applicants may be offered an appointment on contract.
8. The Institute follows the Reservation Policy as per Govt. of India rules. Therefore, candidates applying under SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), NC-OBC (Non Creamy Other Backward Class), PwD (Persons with Disability) or EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category are required to select the relevant category while applying in the Recruitment Portal and will also be required to upload the relevant valid certificate in support of their claim for the category. The physical copy of the same should be produced, if called for selection process.
9. The candidates are required to submit the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for this purpose.
10. Mere fulfilment of qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for the selection process to a reasonable number based on relevant criteria, higher than the minimum prescribed.

Selection Procedure :
1. The process would normally involve
(i) short-listing of candidates based on suitability as ascertained from the applications;
(ii) seminar-presentation and interview for the short-listed candidates.
2. Candidates may be considered for a post lower than that applied for, if they are otherwise found suitable.
3. If the pandemic situation improves and interviews are held in person, reimbursement of return economy airfare by the shortest route (domestic sector only) and accommodation (free of cost) will be provided to the candidates who attend the faculty seminar and interview. Else, seminar and interviews would be held online (in virtual mode).
