Applications are invited from Indian citizens for appointment to various faculty positions as stated below in the UGC scale of pay plus admissible allowances as per existing rules.
1. Post: Associate Professor
2. Essential Qualifications: As per UGC regulation 2016 as amended up to date And/ Or As per State Government rules (as noted above)
3. Desirable Qualifications:
a) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as book and/or research/policy papers.
b) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students, as evidenced by Ph.D. thesis /co-authored books/publications in peer reviewed journals.
c) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as given in Table I.
Professor:-
a. Bio-Technology (2 posts: SC- 1, OBC- A-1) Specialization:Computational Biology with Omics concept specially genomics, Biochemistry/ Plant Biotechnology/ Immuno-Technology/Biophysics/ Molecular Biology/ Food technology/ Biostatistics
b. Industrial Engineering & Management (1 post: SC -1) SC: Open
c. Natural Science [1 post : UR-1 (Chemistry-1) ] Specialization: Chemistry: Research experience in Applied Chemistry/ Polymers/ Computational Chemistry/ Nanomaterials and other emerging areas.
d. CSE (1 post: ST-1) Specialization: Distributed Computing, Data Science/Analytics, Machine Intelligence, Internet Technology, Advanced Computer Architecture and other emerging areas
e. Software Engineering (1 post: SC-1) Specialization: Internet of Things, Cryptography, Cyber Security, Block Chain, Artificial Intelligence and other emerging areas.

a) An eminent scholar with published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work, books and/or research/policy papers.
b) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

Professor:-
a. Bio-Technology (1 post: UR-1) Specialization: Chemical Engineering, Bio Process Engineering or Food Technology or in related subject of Engineering/Technology.
b. Bio-Informatics (1 post: UR-1) Specialization:Computational Biology/System Biology (knowledge of analyzing large Omics datasets)/Computer Science and Information Technology with proficiency in Bio-computation using heterogeneous system)
c. CSE- (3 posts: UR -1, SC-1, ST-1) Specialization: UR & ST: Distributed Computing, Data Science/Analytics, Machine Intelligence, Internet Technology. SC: Microelectronics & VLSI, Digital Electronics
d. Software Engineering (1 post: UR – 1) Desirable: AI/Machine Learning/ Block Chain/ Computer Graphics/ Pattern Recognition/ Distributed Computing and other related emerging areas.

Instructions:-
1. Envelope must be properly superscribed with the post applied for as “Application for the post of Sl.No”
2. Application fee of Rs. 1000.00 (SC/ST candidates shall pay only 50% of normal application fee) has to be paid online while filling up the online application form
3. One set of self – attested photocopies of all relevant documents must be submitted along with the application.
4. Application forms submitted by the applicants must be properly filled in all respect and all the entries therein must be substantiated by supporting documents without which such applications would be treated as invalid. It is to be noted that applications without application fee would be rejected.
5. Already employed applicants should apply through proper channel.
6. Appointments will be made on probation for one year, which may be extended if the performance of the incumbent during the tenure of his/her probation period is found to be unsatisfactory.
7. The University may verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at any time including at the time of appointment or during the tenure of his/her service and in case it is detected during the time of recruitment process and also at any point of time after the appointment that the documents submitted by the candidate are fake or the candidate has deliberately misled by submission of fake/ forged documents, his/her candidature/service will be forthwith cancelled/terminated without assigning any reason.
8. The prescribed essential qualifications/experience indicated above is bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. The university reserves the right to raise the cut-off level of eligibility criteria than those indicated under ‘Essential Qualifications’ for the respective posts.
9. The University will have the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed for the same.
10 All the posts are carried out by the Govt. of West Bengal and superannuation of these posts as per notification of the Govt. of West Bengal from time to time.
11. Incumbents to be appointed on final selection to this post are liable to be deputed amongst different locations of the University.
12. Incomplete application will not be entertained.
13. University Authority will not be responsible for any postal delay in case receipt of application by the University or receipt of Interview call letter by the applicant.
14. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending interview.
15. Canvassing in any form will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
16. The University reserves the right not to fill up the post advertised without assigning any reasons.
17. In case of any dispute the decision of the University will be final.
18. The Calcutta High Court at Kolkata only will have the legal jurisdiction in this matter.
