Advanced Centre of Research in High Energy Materials is an interdisciplinary research effort working towards understanding of theoretical/experimental aspects in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics of processes, Photonics/Electronics instrumentation involved in High Energy Materials. Advanced Centre for Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), University of Hyderabad, invites applications for the following positions on Temporary and Deputation basis:

  3. c) Qualifications and Experience:

Eligibility: A i) A Master‘s degree in Chemistry with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

  1. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET

Eligibility: B Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai) (iv) Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR)

  1. d) Pay Matrix (as per VII CPC/ UGC norms): Academic Level-10 (Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400)

 For Assistant Professor Positions: –

  1. i) The recruitment shall be in accordance with the UGC Regulations 2018 and any specific guideline issued by UGC from time to time from the date issue of this employment notification.
  2. ii) The ACRHEM reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis on the basis of qualification and / or experience higher than the minimum prescribed

iii) The period spent by the candidate in acquiring MPhil / M. Tech. or PhD will not be counted as research experience.

  1. iv) The ACRHEM reserves the right to issue corrigendum to this notification and it will be published on the ACRHEM website only for information of all concerned.
  2. v) It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the application is complete in all respects together with supporting documents for the information furnished in the application at the time of scrutiny.
  3. vi) The applicants must be aware that their output by way of M.Phil./Ph.D./research papers are not plagiarized and in case at any time following the appointment (if selected), at any stage the ACRHEM discovers that the content is plagiarized; they will be liable for termination from the service without any notice. UGC Notification dated July 31, 2018 in this regard is to be complied with.

vii) The shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview and the candidates have to attend the interview at their own cost.

viii) The selected candidates are expected to join within a week from the date of receipt of offer

  2. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possessing them will not entitle him/her for being called for interview. The ACRHEM reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and/or experience higher than the minimum prescribed. Call letters to attend interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Email / Speed Post. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed/called for interview. Except to the candidates shortlisted for the interview, no communication will be sent to the other applicants. The list of shortlisted and not shortlisted candidates will be placed on acrhem.org for information of the applicants.
  3. a) Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state the category to which they belong to. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by Tahsildar / Mandal Revenue Officer/ Equivalent Authority as proof to this effect, without which the application will not be considered.
  4. b) Candidate applying for the post(s) reserved for O.B.C. must submit a latest attested copy of certificate of Creamy Layer-exclusion in the prescribed form issued by Competent Authority, vide Column 3 of GoI Dept. of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8th September 1993 and modified vide DoPT’s O.M. No. 36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 9th March 2004, and DoPT OM No. 36033/3/2004- Estt.(Res.) dated 14th October 2008, without which applications will not be considered. (as per the format given at 1.4) If no copies of the above certificates are sent with the application, it is liable to be rejected for the reserved positions and no appeal against its rejection will be entertained.
  5. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will definitely disqualify such candidate.
  6. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s previous record and their performance in the interview. The ACRHEM may also utilize seminar /colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection.
  7. The eligibility of candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications/ experience/ publications, etc., acquired by them till the last date fixed for receipt of filled-in applications.
  8. Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
  9. All disputes are subject to the Hyderabad jurisdiction.
  10. The ACRHEM reserves the right not to fill-up any vacancy advertised, if the circumstances so warrant. The ACRHEM also reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without giving any reason therefore.
  11. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the ACRHEM shall be final.
