Qualification Details:
19 (Nineteen) posts of Assistant Professor (Super Specialty) in Group-A, under the Odisha Medical Education Service cadre for posting in Govt. Medical Colleges of the State of Odisha under Health & Family Welfare Department in the Academic Level-12 of ORSP (MCT) Rules, 2019 with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

3. Qualification:
a. The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post will be made on the basis of the Odisha Medical Education Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.
b. The candidates must possess DM/M.Ch. degree in the concerned discipline from MCI/NMC permitted or approved or recognized Medical College and/or any other academic qualification with such additional teaching experience in the subject as may be prescribed by MCI/NMC from time to time in force. Where, the DM/M.Ch. is of two years duration or of five years recognized course after MBBS, one year teaching and, or research experience in a recognized institution in the concerned subject is required, after obtaining the qualification of DM/M.Ch.
c. Those candidates who have undergone Diplomate National Board training in concerned subject are also eligible for the post of Assistant Professpr’ subject to fulfiling of any other criteria regarding Diplomate National Board, prescribed by MCI/NMC from time to time in force.

Important Points:-
1. Selection Procedure :
1. The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Super Speciality will be made on the basis of Written Test as per the guidelines as enumerated in Odisha Medical Education Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.
2. Total marks in written test 200;
3. Total No. of questions is 200 which shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern; There shall be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the marks awarded for correct answers. The qualifying marks in the written examination shall be as decided by the Commission. Duration of Examination – 3 hours; syllabus The syllabus for the post of Assistant Professor (Super Speciality) is as per MCI approved DM/M.Ch syllabus. 4. Candidates who are native or resident of Odisha shall be given preference over candidates of other states.
5. The Commission shall prepare a list of candidates in order of merit on the basis of written test, which shall be equal to the number of advertised vacancies; Provided that, if two or more candidates secure equal marks, then the candidate securing higher marks in MBBS Examination shal find place above the other in the merit list.
6. In case marks obtained in MBBS Examination is also the same, the candidate older in age shall be placed above the younger The list recommended by the Commission shall remain valid for a period of one (01) year from the date of its approval by the Government.
