The post is permanent. Pay Scale: Level 11 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted Non-Ministerial.
Age: 45 years.
QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: EDUCATIONAL: (i) A degree of Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) from any recognized University or Medical Institution in India. OR (ii) Post graduate degree qualifications in Paediatrics viz. M.D., MRCP, FRCP (Canada) or MD (Paediatrics) (USA) with complete and entire requirements of the Board concerned. (iii) At least three years experience as Registrar/ Tutor/ Demonstrator in the concerned speciality in the Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
NOTE-I:Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-II:The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fillup the vacancies reserved for them.
NOTE-III:The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in India.
DUTIES: The incumbent of this post will assist the Professor of Paediatrics in organizing and conducting teaching, service and research activities related to the field of child care. To organize and conduct duties related to the field Paediatrics and family planning.
HQ:Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra but liable to serve anywhere in India.
ANY OTHER CONDITIONS: The officer will not be allowed private practice of any kind whatsoever, including consultation and Laboratory practice.
