Educational and other qualifications:-

Professor (Reproductive Bio-Medicine):-

Essential:-

  1. Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  2. Postgraduate degree in Surg./Med./Obst. & Gynae./ Such as MD/MS or equivalent degree of a recognized University.
  3. Four years experience as Reader / Associate Professor in the subject concerned in Medical College or in an equivalent grade in a teaching/training/research institution.
  4. Evidence of published work of high quality during last 4 years.

Desirable:-

1) Three years administrative experience in a responsible position.

2) Experience in training/planning and conducting epidemiological studies/surveys

Professor (Epidemiology)

Essential:-

  1. Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of education qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  2. Postgraduate degree such as MD (CHA)/ MD (PSM)/ MD (Community Medicine) or an equivalent degree of a recognized University / Institute.
  3. Four years experience as Reader / Associate Professor in the subject concerned in a Medical College or in an equivalent grade in a research / training institution.
  4. Evidence of published work of high quality during the last 4 years

Reader (Reproductive Bio-Medicine):-

1) Good academic record with at least 50% marks in Master’s degree in Physiology, Zoology or Biochemistry with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology from a recognized University / Institution.

2) Doctoral degree in Physiology/Zoology/Biochemistry/Male contraception/Reproductive Endocrinology or equivalent published work in the concerned area from a recognized university / institution.

3) Five years experience of teaching in undergraduate / post-graduate classes and / or post-doctoral research work.

4) Evidence of published work of high quality during the last five years.

Desirable:-

Research Experience in Steroid Biochemistry.

Reader (Community Health Administration):-

Essential:-

1) Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Assistant Professor (RBM-Clinic):-

  1. Medical qualification included in the first or the second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  2. Post graduate degree in Surgery/ Medicine/ Obst. & Gynae or equivalent degree from a recognized University / Institute.
  3. At least 3 years teaching / training/ research experience as Demonstrator/Tutor/ Registrar/Resident in the Medicine, Surgery Obst. / Gynae.

Research Officer (HG):-

  1. Master’s degree in Behavioral Science/ Economics/ Statistics/ Demography/ Operation Research, Management Sciences/ Public Administration/ Environmental Sciences/ Education/ Public Health Nursing etc. (as per requirement of the post) of a recognized university or equivalent.
  2. 3 years research experience of conducting research/ evaluation in the concerned discipline.

Desirable:-

Experience of conducting studies in the fields of Health and Family Welfare

GENERAL:-

  • Age limit as on 1 st July, 2020. Relaxation as admissible for SC /ST/ OBC/PwD, persons in Govt. Service etc. shall be as per Central Govt. Rules.
  • The age limit prescribed for direct recruits may not apply to departmental candidates competing as direct recruits.
  • Candidates working in Govt. / Semi Govt. Organizations/Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel.
  • Unfurnished accommodation may be provided subject to availability on payment of prescribed rent to the selected candidate.
  • Mere fulfilling the essential qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview
  • Late applications / incomplete applications (not in prescribed application form, without enclosures of the necessary certificates/documents/proof etc.) / interim enquiries will not be entertained and such applications shall be summarily rejected.
  • Only Post-qualification experience, after acquiring the specific essential educational qualifications as mentioned against each post herein, will be the qualifying criteria for the respective posts and it will be counted as work experience.
  • Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the candidate
  • No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant either before or after the selection. The decision of the Institute would be final.
  • NIHFW reserves the right to either fill up all the posts, or some of the posts or none of them without assigning any reason.
  • For any purpose, which is not mentioned herein, the Rules and Regulations of the Central Government shall apply.
  • Pay is as per UGC guidelines as amended from time to time for faculty positions in the Institute. The regular members of the faculty are also allowed the benefit of Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) under which promotions are available up to the posts in the Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs.10,000.
