Qualifications and Experience for recruitment of Professors in various Departments:-

Professor Level 14A of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC Ph.D. Ten years after Ph.D. or thirteen years total working experience, out of which seven years should be after Ph.D. At least three years at the level of Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9,500 or four years at the level of Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000 or combination of Rs. 9000 and Rs. 9500 or equivalent in an Institution of repute or Research & Development lab or relevant industry. 80

 

Eligibility:-

  • Engineering Department: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with Ph.D. in relevant branch/discipline. Candidates having Ph.D. degree directly after graduation (B.E./B.Tech. etc.) from reputed Institutes/Universities will also be considered if other norms are fulfilled.
  • Science/Humanities and Social Sciences Department: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with Ph.D. and relevant discipline.
  • Department of Business Administration: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) with Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
  • Department of Computer Applications: First class both at UG and PG level (60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) and Ph.D. in relevant discipline

General Conditions:-

  • The eligibility, qualifications/experience etc. for all the posts shall be determined as on the last date of receipt of application forms.
  • This being an advertisement governed by the Flexible Faculty Recruitment Rules, relevant instructions from MHRD issued till the date of interviews will be applicable. Incomplete applications/applications without necessary enclosures will summarily be rejected.
  • For the departments which are not having any vacancy, movement in higher academic grade pay or cadre shall be carried out as per specified selection process but it will be restricted to only for serving faculty members of the respective departments.
  • The internal serving faculty is required to apply for movement in higher academic grade pay irrespective of any vacancy in the respective department. Further, there shall be no specialization constraint on existing faculty.
  • Reservation of posts in Teachers’ Cadre is as per Gazette notification [The Gazette of India, No.29, The CEI (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019 dated 9th July, 2019, The Gazette of Indian, No.2289, dated 12th July, 2019] and further direction of MHRD vide notification F.No.33-3/2018-TS.III dated 5th November, 2019. For the purpose of reservation of posts, Institute has been taken as one unit.
  • The Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) shall be required to submit the medical certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent medical authorities for the purpose of employment as per Govt. of India norms along with their applications. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the disability shall only be eligible for the benefit of reservation.
  • Candidates employed in Govt. service should send their applications through proper channel. Any application which is not routed through proper channel shall not be entertained and shall be rejected straight away. In case, the original application if routed through proper channel is likely to be delayed, a photocopy of the application should be sent in advance along with application fee to reach before the prescribed last date. Any original application, routed through proper channel, received after the commencement of screening procedure shall not be entertained. Further, all such candidates are required to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
  • The Industry / Research experience should be in Government or Public Enterprise or National Laboratory. However, experience in Private Industry will be considered provided it is incorporated in the Indian Companies Act of 1956.
  • Number and nature of posts shown above may change and vary at the time of selection/recruitment. Further, the Institute reserves the right not to fill any post(s).
  • All Educational Qualification Degree Certificates should be from recognized Universities/ Institutes. Further, candidates must attach conversion criteria of CGPA to percentage (%) from the University/Institution/Board.
  • The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information, other documents and photograph. Furnishing of any false information and/or suppression/ concealment of facts shall lead to rejection/cancellation of selection/recruitment.
  • Mere fulfillment of the required qualifications, experience, credit points, etc., does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview/selection. Short listing criteria for calling for interview may be higher than those advertised.
  • If the claimed credit points by the applicant are found to be grossly inappropriate and /or without relevant supporting documents, NIT Kurukshetra administration reserves the rights to summarily reject the candidature of the applicant.
  • The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications, experience, credit points, etc; higher than those prescribed in this advertisement, and as per merit decided by the competent authority. Criteria for short-listing may vary from department to department.
  • Candidates will have to appear for the presentation and interview at their own cost, if called, before the Selection Committee on the date and place which will be separately notified to the candidates.

How to Apply:-

  • Applications along with Annexures must be submitted in the prescribed format as available in the Institute Website. Candidates can download the same from the website www.nitkkr.ac.in.
  • Please mention Post Applied, Department and Discipline on the left-top corner of the envelope containing the application. Separate applications are to be submitted for each Post, Department and Discipline.
  • The filled in application should be accompanied by non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates which may be paid online through SBI Collect or Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Director, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra” on any Nationalized Bank payable at Kurukshetra.   • Application forms, Annexure Sheets complete in all respects along with self attested photocopies of certificates and the prescribed application fee should reach “The Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra-136119 (Haryana) on or before 26.04.2021 by 5:30 pm.
