Qualification Details:
Offline applications from Indian citizens/other citizens as permissible under the applicable Act/Rules are invited for the following faculty posts on Direct Recruitment Basis In Various Departments in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

3. Qualifications: A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.) A recognized post graduate qualification e.g., MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. AND/OR M.Ch. for surgical Super specialty and D.M. for Medical Super specialty (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or qualification recognized equivalent there to.
4. Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. OR Twelve years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institute in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. OR Eleven years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized Degree of D.M/M. Ch in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
5. Essential for Non-Medical Candidates: Post graduate qualification e.g., Master degree in the discipline. A Doctorate degree of a recognized University in concerned discipline.
6. Experience: Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.
7. Essential for Medical Candidates I to 2 same as for Professor (Medical)
8. Experience: Ten years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
9. Essential for Super specialty disciplines: Same as Professor (Medical) 2) D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical super specialty and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical super specialty (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
10. Salary: Level 14-A of the Pay Matrix as given in the MoH&FW (INI-I-Section), Gol Letter No.V- 16020/28/2017-INI-I (Pt.), dated 23d August, 2018 i.e., Minimum Pay of Rs.1,68,900/-. (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only) Rs.37,400-67,000+AGP Rs.10,500/- (6″ CPC)

All India Institute of Medical Sciences is an autonomous body established under the Act of Parliament.
ii) Service under the Institute is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under. (1) The Institute strives to have a workforce which reflects gender parity and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
(iv) All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
(v) The appointment will be subject to review and probation of two years.
(vi) Assessment Promotion: A faculty after rendering fixed years of service on a grade may be considered for assessment promotion subject to the Rules and Regulations applicable from time to time.
(Vii) Applicants who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date for submission of Offline applications, will not be considered.
(Vii) Incomplete application(s) will be summarily rejected. Applications received after the last date of submission of Ofline application will not be considered. The decision of the Competent Authority of AlIMS, Gorakhpur in this regard will be final.
ix) The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed educational qualification.
(x) The employees of the Institute will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division). Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12. 2003. How ever, pay protection and continuation of past services of the existing Govt. employees selected for the post of faculty will be considered strictly as per the Rules.

Selection Procedure :
1. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate to be called for interview or for selection. Based on details of the candidate, the Screening Committee may short- list candidates for interview.
2. If required there may be Screening test to shortlist candidates for interview in case large number of candidates apply for a post or posts. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents as proof of details furnished in their application at the time of interview.
3. They may also be asked to submit an affidavit/declaration as decided by AlIMS, Gorakhpur at time of Interview. The methodology of selection will be decided by the Selection Committee as deemed fit besides any other matter related to the selection process.
