Organization Profile: Panjab University is a collegiate central university located in Chandigarh, India. Originating in 1882 as the University of the Punjab Lahore, it was relocated in Chandigarh in the year 1947 as the East Punjab University after the partition of India, where the university was split between India and Pakistan.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Employment Type: Temporary
Project Title: “SELECTAR: Selection for antimicrobial resistance by antimicrobial production waste”
Qualification: M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or allied sciences with at least 60% marks for GN/OBC (55% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institute. The applicant should have cleared National Eligibility Test qualification such as UGC-CSIR-NET/ GATE/ DBT-BET or an equivalent test recognized by DBT/DST, India.
Desirable: Prior laboratory experience in microbiological techniques, molecular biology and analytical techniques.

- Candidate should have Good Communication Skills
- Commitment towards work
- Have a good Publication record
Duration: The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The appointment will be governed by rules of the University. The appointment will be made for one year and is extendable till the tenure of the project, subject to availability of funds or extendable if the project is
extended.
Emoluments: Rs.31,000/- per month+ 16%HRA for 1st &2nd year and Rs.35,000 pm +16% HRA for the 3rd year.
