NTET Registration 2024: Deadline Extended
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline for the National Teacher Entrance Test (NTET) 2024 for INDIAN SYSTEM OF MEDICINE & HOMOEOPATHY. Candidates aspiring to build a career in teaching can now submit their applications until October 22, 2024, via the official website (exam.nta.ac.in). Previously, the last date to apply was October 14, 2024.
What is NTET?
NTET 2024 is the National Teacher Entrance Test specifically designed for the recruitment of teachers in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) medical institutions. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), it aims to evaluate candidates aspiring to teach in AYUSH medical colleges across India. The exam covers a wide range of subjects, including subject expertise in AYUSH disciplines, pedagogy, and other teaching-related competencies. The test ensures that qualified professionals can contribute to the growing field of traditional and alternative medicine education in India.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting National Teachers’ Eligibility Test (NTET) for the first time for Post Graduates who desire to take up the teaching profession, on behalf of Ministry of AYUSH with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine is the statutory body constituted under NCISM Act, 2020 (No. 14 of 2020) vide Gazette notification extraordinary Part (ii) Section 1 dated 21.09.2020.
The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) has been constituted by an Act of Parliament known as The National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020 (No. 15 of 2020) which came into force on 05.07.2021 by Gazette notification dated 05.07.2021.
NTET – 2024 will be conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for NTET 2024 (National Teacher Entrance Test) for AYUSH teachers includes:
- Educational Qualification: A postgraduate degree in relevant AYUSH disciplines (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy) from a recognized university.
- Teaching Experience: Candidates with teaching experience in AYUSH medical institutions may have an advantage.
- Age Limit: There may be age restrictions, typically for general and reserved category candidates, as specified in the official notification.
