About the Institute
The Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong) was established with a vision to promote excellence in management education and research in the Northeastern region of India. The institute was conceptualized during the Review Meeting held in June 2004 at Shillong, where the Union Minister of Human Resource Development and the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States unanimously agreed to set up an IIM in the region.
