NIT Meghalaya, established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012), is an Institute of National Importance fully funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Vacancy:

  • Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Department: Physics

  • Project Title: Illuminating dark matter using global 21-cm absorption signal during Dark Ages and Cosmic Dawn Era

  • Job Type: Temporary

  • Duration: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 1 more year based on performance

  • Salary: ₹37,000/- per month + HRA

  • Job Location: Meghalaya

Eligibility:

  • Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics with valid NET or GATE score

  • Academic Record: Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in Master’s degree

  • Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/PH candidates

  • Candidates without NET/GATE may be considered as Project Associate with lower salary
