Organization Profile: Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram is an Institution of National Importance established in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and is located at outskirts of Chennai (Off Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road). It is a Centre of Excellence for pursuing Design and Manufacturing Oriented Engineering Education and Research and for promoting competitive advantage of Indian products in global markets. IIITDM Kancheepuram is presently offering undergraduate, postgraduate, dual-degree programmed in the areas of Computer, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and inter-disciplinary Ph.D. programmers in core and applied areas of basic sciences (Physics and Mathematics) and engineering. It functions with the vision to groom engineers with design and manufacturing skills. The institute gives significant amount of emphasis for practice courses and theory concepts are also explored along with the relevant laboratory course.

Title of the project: DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HYBRID PHOTOVOLTAIC AND
THERMOELECTRIC SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT ENERGY HARVESTING
Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)
Essential Qualifications: B.E./ B.Tech/ or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /Chemical Technology /Energy Engineering and having a valid GATE score with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10-point scale/ 80% marks.
(or) First Class ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Engineering) /Energy Engineering / Nanotechnology / Environmental/ Solid State Technology/ Materials Science or equivalent. (or) MS / M.Sc. or equivalent in any Science discipline with GATE/UGC/CSIR/NBHM/DAE-JEST
Desired qualifications: Prior knowledge/ prior experience in synthesis of nanomaterial, characterization, testing and analysis.
Project Duration: 3 years
Stipend: Rs. 31,000 p.m (1st and 2nd Year) and Rs. 35,000 p.m (3rd Year)
