Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the JBT posts, candidates must meet both educational and age-related requirements:

• Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 47 years as of 1 January 2025. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have any one of the following:

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./JBT)

  • Senior Secondary with 45% marks along with D.El.Ed. as per NCTE norms

  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education

  • Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

  • Post-Graduation (55% marks) with an integrated 3-year B.Ed.–M.Ed. program

In addition to this, clearing the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) is mandatory.

Selection Process

The recruitment will take place in multiple stages:

1. Written Examination

   • The exam will carry 200 questions for a total of 100 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.

   • Questions will be divided into two parts:

     • Subject Knowledge: 140 questions (70 marks)

     • General Awareness & Aptitude: 60 questions (30 marks) covering HP GK, Current Affairs, Hindi, English, Science, and Reasoning.

2. Document Verification
   Candidates who qualify the exam will be called for verification of certificates and eligibility documents.

3. Medical Examination
   A fitness test will be conducted before final appointment.

Application Fee

• ₹800 for all categories (inclusive of processing charges).

• Correction Fee: ₹100 for making any changes during the correction window.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale in the range of ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 per month as per government rules, along with other allowances.
