Qualifications & Eligibility
1. Professor of Law
Eligibility (A or B):
A. Academic Category
-
Ph.D. in International Trade Law or Maritime Law (principal or allied subject).
-
Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
-
Total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix-II, Table-2).
-
Master’s degree in Law with 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
-
Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor or equivalent in a national institution.
B. Professional Category
-
Ph.D. in the relevant field (International Trade Law / Maritime Law) from a recognized academic institution or industry background.
-
Minimum 10 years of professional experience with significant contributions to the discipline, supported by documentary evidence.
2. Associate Professor of Law
-
Ph.D. in International Trade Law or Maritime Law (principal or allied subject).

Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
-
Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
-
At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
-
Total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations 2018.
3. Assistant Professor of Law
Eligibility (A or B):
A. Academic Category
-
Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Maritime Law / International Trade Law (principal or allied subject).

Must have cleared NET / SLET / SET or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations (2009 / 2016 or amendments).
-
Candidates with Ph.D. registered before July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they meet UGC-specified conditions.
B. International Qualification
-
Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in global university rankings (QS / THE / ARWU).
