Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Faculty Recruitment 2023
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has invited applications for 307 faculty positions in the various departments and institutions of the university i.e. Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Education, Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, Faculty of Law, Institute of Management Studies, Faculty of Performing Arts, Institute of Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharm Vigyan (SVDV), Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, RGSC, Faculty of Visual Arts.
The application deadline is July 31, 2023. The vacancies are for the positions of Professor (85 vacancies), Associate Professor (133 vacancies), and Assistant Professor (89 vacancies). The application process is online and can be found on the BHU website. The application fee is Rs. 1000 for general candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
The selection process for the faculty member at Banaras Hindu University will be based on a written examination and an interview. The written examination will be held on August 13, 2023. The interview will be held in September 2023.
The appointment will be on a regular basis and the initial contract period will be 3 years. The salary will be as per the UGC pay scale

The eligibility criteria for each position Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Faculty Recruitment 2023:
Professor:
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline with at least 10 years of teaching experience at the university level. A good academic record with a minimum of 60% marks at the Master’s level and 55% marks at the Ph.D. level.
Associate Professor:
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline with at least 8 years of teaching experience at the university level. A good academic record with a minimum of 55% marks at the Master’s level and 50% marks at the Ph.D. level.
Assistant Professor:
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline with at least 5 years of teaching experience at the university level. A good academic record with a minimum of 50% marks at the Master’s level and 45% marks at the Ph.D. level.

The application process is online and can be found on the BHU website. The application fee is Rs. 1000 for general candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
