Qualification Details:
Department of Education in Languages, NCERT invites applications to recruit Assistant Professor of Sanskrit purely on contractual basis initially for a period of one year or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, to work on various projects related to Department of Education in Languages.

(i) Master’s Degree in (Sanskrit) with 55% marks or equivalent Grade & NET/SLET/SET
(ii) Desirable B.Ed/M.Ed./M.Phil/Ph.D.

6. Experience: Teaching Experience is desirable

1. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions does not constitute a claim for selection. Notwithstanding the qualifications cited above, the selection will be made on the basis of the merit adjudged by the Selection Committee during the interview proceedings.
2. NCERT reserves the right to cancel/postpone the recruitment process at its discretion.
3. The department shall verify the antecedents/documents submitted by the candidate at the time of interview or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has undesirable clandestine/antecedents and has suppressed the said information, then his/her service shall be terminated.
4. The post is purely on contractual basis. The appointment shall initially be for a period of one year or till the regular incumbent joins whichever is earlier. No claim for regular appointment or further extension of contract is acceptable. The further extension of contract is based on requirement and at sole discretion of NCERT.
5. No TN/ DA will be paid for attending the interview under any circumstances.
6. Candidates invited for interview are required to bring all original documents on the day of interview for verification.
7. During the tenure, the Asstt. Prof. (Sanskrit) shall not accept or hold any of appointment or otherwise or receive any employment/salary/stipend etc from any other source.
8. The selected candidate may be required to join immediately. Candidates already in job should submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer along with their application.
9. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification and shall lead to cancellation of the candidature.

The date & time of interview will be informed to all eligible shortlisted candidates through email and telephone as well as displayed on notice board of the department. It is the sole responsibility of candidates to confirm their names in list of candidates short listed for interview scheduled at NCERT.
