Applications for the following posts of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions purely on Contract Basis @ Rs. 30,600/- PM fixed in the Pay Band of Rs 15600-39100 + 6000 AGP ( BP-15,600 + 6000 AGP + 150% of AGP) are invited initially for a period of one year extendable on year to year basis on the enclosed prescribed form.

Qualification:-

M.Sc./ M. Tech/MBA having qualified NET from UGC/ CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited by I-JQC in the concerned discipline. Note:-For the candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi). rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines ili which NET is conducted.

Provided that NET essentiality for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, for the candidates registered for Ph.D prior to July 11, 2009 shall be exempted subject to the conditions that:

a) Ph. D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
b) Evaluation Of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D Oiva-voce of the candidate had been conducted;
d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in refereed Journal;
e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/ seminars, based on his/her Fh. D. work.a) to e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/concerned Deans.

Basic Sciences Faculty:

• Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
• Besides ful!illing the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, ICAR or similar test; accredited by the UGC.
• Notwithstanding anything contained in i) and ii) above, candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET. Provided that NET essentiality for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, for the candidates registered for Ph.D prior to July 11, 2009 shall bc exempted subject to the conditions that:

a) Ph.. D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
b) Evaluation of the Ph. D thesis by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph. D viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted;
d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work ouc of which at least one must be in refereed Journal; Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/ seminars, based on his/her Ph. D. work. a) to
e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/concerned Deans. NET shall’ also not be required for such Master’s Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET is not conducted.

Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized University shall also be considered eligible.

However, the application will be considered valid only if it is accompanied with prescribed fee of Rs. 1480/- (Rupees one thousand four hundred and eighty only) for un-reserved category candidates and Rs. 370/- (Rupees three hundred and seventy only) for reserved Category candidates. The female and PWD candidates of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from paying application fee.

Terms and Conditions:-

• The Application Forms on cash payment will not be sold by the University.
• The Score Card as prescribed/ notified by the University vide notification No. QSD. 1-33/2019-CSKHPKV (GA) -6303-92 dated 06.02.2020 and uploaded on the University website i.e. www.hillagric.ac.in shall be applicable.
• Candidate fnust fulfill requisite qualifications/ conditions on the last date of receipt of applications i.e. on 06.04.2021 for candidates from Non Tribal Areas and on 20.04.2021 for tribal areas and abroad.
• The applicant must be citizen of India.
• The candidates selected for appointment to the above posts on contract basis will have to execute a contract agreement with this University i.e. CSKHPKV, Palampur as per rules.
• The Selected candidate shall be paid fixed contractual emoluments per month as per rules and shall not be entitled for other allowances and service benefits as are admissible to regular employees of the University.
• The reservation to the posts indicated above, if any, has been given as per rules/ instructions of the H.P. State Govt. and the same will be provided only to the Candidates who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh .
• The reserved category candidates belonging to other States will be treated as General Category Candidates and benefit of reservation and fee Concession will not be admissible to such candidates.
• The incomplete application forms or those received after the last date for receipt of ppplications will not be entertained and shall be liable to be rejected without making any reference.
• The canvassing direct or indirect will amount to disqualification. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up the posts advertise
• The female candidates are also exempted from paying application fee.
• The candidate must write his/her telephone/ Mobile Phone No. below his/ her signature at the end of the application form. Applicanis already in- service should send their application form through proper channel with advance copy to this University.
• However, advance copy should reach the University by the last date for receipt of applications.
• The candidates having thorough knowledge of the manner, customs and dialects Of Himachal Pradesh shall be given preference especially in Extension Education.
