Qualifications & Experience for different posts:
Professor:-
Essential Qualifications: A post graduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per these Regulations.
Experience:-
- Associate Professor in the subject for 3 years in a permitted/approved/ recognized medical college/institution with three Research publications (at least two as Associate Professor) (only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, Citation index, Sciences Citation index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will be considered). The author must be amongst first three or should be the Corresponding author
- Should have completed the Basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institution(s) designated by NMC ( MCI)
- Should have completed the Basic course in biomedical research from Institution(s) designated by NMC (MCI). Further provided that for the transitory period of 2 years w.e.f. the date of this notification, the appointment/ promotion to the post of Professor can be made by the institution in accordance with the ―Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998” as prevailing before Issuance of this notification.
Associate Professor:-
Essential Qualifications: A post graduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per these Regulations.
Experience:-
- As Assistant Professor in the subject for 4 years in a permitted/approved/recognized medical college/ institution with one Research publication (only original papers, metaanalysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, Citation index, Sciences Citation index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will be considered). The author must be amongst first three or should be the Corresponding author
- Research project in lieu of publication/authorship can be considered only if the person is Principal or Co- Principal investigator (P1/CoPI) of a research project funded by a national research body such as Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Department of Bio- Technology (DBT) or any such body.
- Should have completed the Basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institution(s) designated by NMC (MCI).
- Should have completed the Basic course in biomedical research from Institution(s) designated by NMC (MCI).
Further provided that for the transitory period of 2 years w.e.f. the date of this notification, the appointment/promotion to the post of Associate Professor can be made by the institution in accordance with the ―Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998” as prevailing before issuance of this notification.
Assistant Professor:-
Essential Qualifications: A post graduate qualification MD/ MS/ DNB in the concerned subject and as per these Regulations.
Experience:-
Associate Professor in the subject for 3 years in a permitted/approved/ recognized medical college/institution with three Research publications ( at least two as Associate Professor) (only original papers, 3 years Junior Resident in a recognized permitted medical college in the concerned subject and one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized permitted medical college.
In case of DNB candidate equated to MD/MS in terms of clause 4A of Schedule-I, in addition to 3 year teaching experience in the subject as Resident/ Registrar/ Demonstrator/ Tutor/ or work experience gained during DNB training, one year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted medical college.
Age: Upper age limit for faculty posts on contractual basis will be up to 69 years as per Memo No. 1/55/2012- 1 HBIV dated 03-12-2012. Age, experience and qualification will be counted up to the date of Intervie
Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250 for women candidates, Rs.125/- for reserved category of Haryana domicile only and person with benchmark disability will be exempted for application fee.)
Date/ time of Interview: Every Day (Monday to Friday) at 09:00 AM from 11-01-2021 onwards, till the posts are filled. (Attendance will be taken up to 10:30 am only, there after no candidate will be entertained)

General Terms and Conditions:-
- The candidate who is in service will have to produce No Objection Certificate from his/her Head of Institution/employer at the time of interview otherwise he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
- Submission of incomplete application i.e. without self attested copies of testimonials of academic career, experience certificate, attempt certificate etc. may render the candidate ineligible. All original documents will be produced before the scrutiny committee at the time to scrutiny/interview and all other relevant documents which claim your eligibility otherwise he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
- The candidates who wish to apply for more than one specialty; they should submit separate application forms for each specialty.
- Numbers of posts are liable to increase or decrease either way, including complete withdrawal.
- The selection committee reserves the right to reject or accept any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
- Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
- The benefit of reservation, including the benefit of relaxation in upper age limit in respect of candidates belonging to reserved category, will be as per Haryana Govt. instruction issued from time to time and is
restricted to Haryana domiciles only. - Persons with benchmark disability will be exempted for application fee subject to submission of necessary certificate issued by competent authority in support of their claim of disability as per notification No.
22/10/2013-1GSIII dated 25-04-2018. - A passport-size photograph, duly attested should be affixed on the application form.
- All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Nuh.
Important Instructions:-
- The application form, eligibility criteria, qualification, experience, other terms & conditions can be downloaded from the official website of the institute www.gmcmewat.ac.in.
- Age Limit : Upper age limit for faculty posts on contractual basis will be up to 69 years as per Memo No. 1/55/2012- 1 HBIV dated 03-12-2012. Age, experience and qualification will be counted up to the date of Interview.
- Reservation as per policy of State Govt. of Haryana.
- Number of posts may be increased or decreased or totally withdrawn without any further notice.
- The appointment will be purely on contract basis for 01 year only or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier and no any other allowance will be given.
- The walk in interview will be conducted on every day (Monday to Friday) on first come first serve basis from11-01-2021 onwards.
- Application Form may be downloaded from institute website. Application form will not be provided by institute to anyone at the time of interview.
- The experience gained in a Medical College/Institute not approved/permitted/recognized by the NMC will not be counted towards teaching experience.
- The degree of undergraduate/postgraduate/DM/M.CH not recognized by the NMC will render the candidate ineligible.
- The qualification and experience will be counted up to the date of walk-in Interview.
- Details of the Research Work Publications (in annotated form) indicating index/non-index along with attested copies and best seven research works along with citations supported by relevant document, must also be furnished. Any other relevant outstanding National International achievements in the profession supported by the documents, if any, must also be supplied.
- Non-medical Teachers will not be entitled to N.P.A.
- The status of vacancy will be updated on the website www.gmcmewat.ac.in on regular basis after publishing the advertisement in newspapers one time. You may regularly visit the institute website for updated status.

- Eligible applicants have to appear for walk in interview on daily basis (Monday to Friday) at 09:00 AM, from 11-01- 2021 (Monday) onwards till the posts are filled, with prescribed application form (which can be downloaded from Institute website i.e. www.gmcmewat.ac.in, along with non refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250 for women candidates, Rs.125/- for reserved category of Haryana domicile only and person with benchmark disability will be exempted for application fee.) in the form of Demand Draft / Indian Postal Order/ Treasury Challan in departmental receipt head 0210 in favour of Director, Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati, Govt. Medical College, Nalhar (Nuh) payable at Nuh and by POS Machine.
