NIMHANS Recruitment – Assistant Professor of Psychiatry Vacancies

NIMHANS announced Job notification to hire candidates who completed DNB, MS/MD for the position of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry.

                Application are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the post of “Assistant Professor of Psychiatry” on contract basis under the DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance entitled ” Clinical Research Centre for Neuromodulator in Psychiatry” under Dr. Venkatasubramanian, Professor of Psychiatry & Principal Investigator.

Educational Qualification:-  M.D in Psychiatry/ M.D Psychological Medicine/ DNB Psychiatry or e univalent qualification from a recognized University/ Institution.

Experience:-  03 years teaching and /or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree as above.

Desirable Qualifications:-

1. Experience in non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) techniques in psychiatric disorders
2. Clinical Research experience in the application of NIBS intreatment-resistant patients and special populations
3. Clinical and Research Experience in managing treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders
4. Research experience in neuroimaging in psychiatry
5. Research experience in electrophysiology techniques like electroencephalography in psychiatry
6. Research experience in conducting randomized control trials in psychiatric neuromodulator
7.  Research experience in genotyping studies in psychiatry
8. At least 2 years of experience in supervising and manpower training in clinical research studies in psychiatry.
9. Experience in working at different psychiatric institutes, preferably in both Mental health institutes and General hospital psychiatry settings
10. Experience in “big-data” management and analysis
11. Experience in mentoring psychiatry trainees

Pay Matrix:-

                Rs.1,01,500/- to Rs.1,67,400/-.Initial Pay in the Pay Matrix :  Rs.1,01,500 (Plus NPA).

Important Note:-

Duration of the post 5 years Initial appointment will be made for a period of one year, which will be extendable every 12 months for five years or till the end of the project depending upon the performance of the candidate.
