Role Overview
The Director will provide strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and academic direction to ensure excellence in education, research, and institutional development. The role requires a visionary leader capable of guiding faculty, staff, and students while maintaining high standards of governance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with the vision and mission of VISAT.

Oversee academic planning, program development, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and academic excellence.
2. Academic & Administrative Oversight

Ensure effective administration of academic departments, faculty development, and student services.

Lead accreditation, compliance, and quality assurance processes in accordance with regulatory standards.

Monitor academic performance, research initiatives, and institutional outcomes.
3. Faculty & Staff Management
-
Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty and administrative staff.

Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven work culture.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and professional development programs.
4. Student Engagement & Welfare

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for students.

Facilitate counselling, training, and placement services.

Encourage co-curricular, extracurricular, and community engagement initiatives.
5. Industry & Community Relations

Strengthen partnerships with industry, academia, government, and community organizations.

Represent VISAT at conferences, academic forums, and public engagements.

6. Financial & Operational Management

Oversee budgeting, resource planning, and fiscal discipline.

Ensure optimal utilization of infrastructure and resources.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field (Ph.D. preferred)

Experience: Minimum 20 years in academic leadership, administration, or higher education management

Proven expertise in strategic planning, faculty development, institutional growth, and compliance with regulatory standards (AICTE / University processes)
