Eligibility Criteria

  • A two-year Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification with at least 55% marks or a ‘B’ grade on the UGC 7-point scale (or equivalent from a recognized foreign institution).

  • Candidates with an M.Phil. degree and minimum 55% marks (aggregate) after coursework are also eligible.

  • A 5% relaxation in marks (or equivalent grade) is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled categories.

Financial Support

  • Full-time Ph.D. Scholars: ₹25,000 per month (up to 3 years).

  • UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/GATE/GPAT qualified scholars: ₹31,000 per month (up to 3 years).

  • Continuation of stipend is subject to satisfactory annual research progress.
