Boys Hostel Warden

Job Overview:

The Boys Hostel Warden will be responsible for managing the daily operations, safety, discipline, and welfare of the male students residing in the hostel. The role requires leadership, empathy, and organizational ability to maintain a positive and secure living environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Welfare & Discipline

  • Ensure safety, discipline, and well-being of all hostel residents.

  • Enforce hostel rules and address violations promptly.

  • Counsel students on personal and academic issues, coordinating with the college counseling team when needed.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for student concerns and grievances.

2. Administration & Operations

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, medical details, and student information.

  • Manage room allotments and check-in/check-out procedures.

  • Oversee hostel maintenance and cleanliness with the housekeeping team.

  • Handle hostel budgets and resource allocation efficiently.

3. Safety & Security

  • Implement and monitor safety measures in the hostel.

  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas.

  • Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with security or medical teams.

4. Health & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the hostel.

  • Arrange for medical assistance and first aid when necessary.

  • Liaise with nearby hospitals for emergency care.

5. Student Engagement

  • Organize recreational and cultural activities for residents.

  • Encourage participation in hostel committees and leadership roles.

  • Foster a friendly and inclusive hostel environment.

6. Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain transparent communication with parents regarding students’ welfare.

  • Submit periodic reports to the administration on hostel activities and student feedback.

  • Coordinate with college departments for smooth functioning.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hostel administration or student management.
