To meet the growing challenges of India’s IT industry and domestic market, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has set up 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
IIIT Surat was initiated with mentoring support from SVNIT Surat and continues to function from its transit campus until the new permanent campus is ready.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Computer Science & Engineering
Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class at both B.Tech/BE and M.Tech/ME levels.
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class at both B.Tech/BE and M.Tech/ME levels.
Physical and Applied Sciences
Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Engineering Physics (or equivalent) and Master’s degree in Physics/Engineering Physics (or equivalent).
Mathematics and Computational Science
Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
B.Sc./B.S. in Mathematics / Mathematics & Computing or B.Tech. in Mathematics & Computing.
M.Sc./M.S./M.Tech. in Mathematics / Mathematics & Computing / Computational Mathematics (or equivalent).
