Job Details

  • Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Department: Geographic Information System (GIS) Cell

  • Project Title: GANANA: India-EU Initiative for Scientific High Performance Computing

  • Type of Appointment: Contract (Initially 12 months, extendable up to one year subject to funding availability)

  • Location: Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

Fellowship

  • ₹37,000/- per month (Consolidated) + 20% HRA

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have one of the following:

  • M.Tech. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing / Civil Engineering / CSE / ECE / EE / Mechanical Engineering / IT / Agriculture Engineering / Mining Engineering with minimum 60% marks or CPI 6.5 (55% or CPI 6.0 for SC/ST/PwD)

  • M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing / Applied Geology / Geophysics / Geography / Environmental Science / Computer Science / Mathematics with minimum 70% marks or CPI 7.5 (65% or CPI 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD)

  • MCA with at least 70% marks or CPI 7.5 (65% or CPI 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD)

  • B.E./B.Tech. with 70% marks or CPI 7.5 (65% or CPI 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD) and Mathematics at 10+2 level

Additional Requirement:
Candidates must have qualified in one of the following:

  1. CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE

  2. National level examinations conducted by central government agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
