📌 Position Details

Post: Research Associate – I
Project Title: “Greenhouse Gas (GHG) estimation from abandoned wells and coalmines”
Project Tenure: One year starting 13 October 2025, or until project completion (whichever is earlier)
Location: IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand

✅ Eligibility

Essential Qualification:

  • Ph.D. from a recognized university/institute

  • With prior degrees in:

    • M.Tech/M.Sc./M.Sc.Tech. in Petroleum, Chemical, Petroleum & Petrochemical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Earth Sciences, Geology, or Geophysics

    • B.Tech./B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Geology

  • Minimum 60% marks or First Class/Division throughout

Desirable:

  • Strong academic background in upstream petroleum engineering

  • Experience in industry-funded projects preferred

💰 Fellowship

  • ₹58,000/- per month + 20% HRA (consolidated)
